The Riddler 1: Year One

Dano’s writing is excellent and his love for the Riddler is very obvious in this book. This is such a thoughtful exploration of Riddler/Edward as a character and Stevan Subic’s art is unique and refreshing. A must-read if you enjoyed The Batman.

This book is filled with surprises. It also tells how this quiet little guy becomes a methodical killer. Edward accidentally finds that money from a animal shelter is routinely being deposited into Renewal and uncovers a huge conspiracy. The book has a chapter made up of excerpts from his ledgers which tell the story of him slowly becoming the Riddler and ploting his murder spree. If you loved The Batman, you'll really enjoy this book.

AHHH THE SCRIMBLO SKRINKLY he’s so gnarp gnarp perfect for danocels and danonation

First off, this is an interesting look inside the mind of Paul Dano and his process for creating the character we met in The Batman. The art is phenomenal at creating the tone needed to drive this prequel story.

Paul Dano reveals yours incredible skill to build up the origins of a great villain, very often seen as "not-so-much" interesting. Take a deep dive into Edward's crazy mind falling into pieces on an original graphic experience.

I was so happy to receive this, Paul Dano and Steven Subic did a great job with expressing this story in very interesting and creative ways with the art and editing. I could't put it down!
