How would this compare to the uni jet stream prime with 3 colors and 1 mechanical pencil?

I don't have the Uni Jet but I also have the Pilot Ridge and I prefer the Pilot a bit better for switching tips (rotate vs push).

My mechanism for the black ink has jammed. Is there any way i can fix it? I just open the tip and push down for now. Avoiding using black until then.

Unfortunately, when the mechanism jams my experience has been there is nothing you can do to fix it. It could even mean the pen is no longer usable. You can see if there is still time to return it to Amazon. If you still have time to send it back, call Amazon customer service and see if they will replace it.

Well balanced pen

Perfect weight in the hand. And it all works beautifully BUT AFTER 2 weeks some of the trim has come unstuck and I keep having to push it back into place. Gets on my nerves.
