Very nice begginer guitar... probably your best option for a lefty.
Very nice sounding entry level guitar. Construction quality is very good for the price and it is a very attractive little guitar - my son was very excited when it arrived.I was sceptical about the sound quality of a steel-string guitar at this price point but it compares quite well acoustically with my daughters full size hand made classical. Aside from quality of build, I believe this comes from the larger dreadnaught body. This larger body has two downsides though. First this guitar may be difficult to handle for smaller kids than other 3/4 guitars. My tallish 7 year old could not handle anything larger and I would say that it is best suited to musicians 8 and up. Also it can be a little harder to find a hard case that fits this guitar. You are better off to go with a soft gig bag or get a full size classical hard case which will likely be a little bit large. Finally steel strings can be a little harder to play for beginners but there really aren't that many choices out there for a pre-strung lefty in this price range. This is probably the best one and we are happy with the purchase.

It's small but crafted nicely
The action is a little higher than I would like. My 12 yr old fits it well and after a little work on the saddle can chord easily

Action is too high
I bought this for my lefty 12 year old as an inexpensive campfire guitar. But, the action is ridiculously high. My kid is pretty accomplished on the guitar, but literally grimaced while trying to pull of clean chords on this quite good looking, but fundamentally flawed, instrument. In fact, I don't know how ANY kid could pull off a bar chord on this thing at all. I took it to my local guitar shop, who said a 'decent' guitar even this inexpensive should have at least a moderately playable action. I asked if they could do a set-up on it and tweak the action, and they said I'd be throwing money away to try it based on the existing bridge height. Unfortunately, I did not get around to having my guitar shop look at this until the return window was closed (my bad). So, it's now going into the trash or to Goodwill. I have now purchased a lefty Recording King that's the same small size (campfire guitar) and --while admittedly not as handsome-looking IMO-- is at least generally well set-up and playable out of the box.

Decent beginner guitar
Nice little guitar for my 7yr old to start taking lessons with! Decent quality. Sound isn’t perfect but for the price and the fact he’s just starting out it’s great!

A great buy for beginners and intermediate players
This was an incredible find for my daughter who learned she is a lefty. It is well built and has steel strings as she wanted. The sound is balanced and similar to our Baby Taylor. We took the guitar to a music store in Tampa and the salesperson said it was a good brand and great for beginners.
