Battery Maintainer
An excellent product for both charging and maintaining an auto battery with both 2 and 4 amp charging. Extremely pleased with this easy to use well made accessory. I highly recommend to consider plus the fair price.

Works ok. Battery clips could be better.
Works ok I like that you can select 2 or 4 amp, but the clips to attach to the battery are bulky and slip off the battery terminals easily. Other brands have clips with plastic shrink wrap on the handles they fit ans work better

Works on dead batteries with a low voltage charge
Worked awesome on my dead Ezgo Golfcart batteries. Definitely worth the cost.

Does its job!
Seems to be working like a champ so far. I like how I just plug my Harley in after a ride and she’s always ready for our next adventure with a fully charged battery.

Completely Destroyed Two Batteries – Avoid This Charger
I ordered this MOTOPOWER charger from Amazon on May 31, 2025, to maintain and charge my Polaris Phoenix battery (YUASA YTX12, Part 4011434). Upon arrival, I followed the instructions carefully and connected it to the Polaris battery, which had 11.2 volts at the time. The charger’s status light indicated it was in "charge" mode, so I assumed everything was working properly. When I returned the next morning, I was shocked to see that the battery casing had sunken in on the sides—as if it had imploded. I tested the charger with a multimeter while it was in charge mode and got no output reading at all. Assuming the battery might have been the issue, I bought a brand-new replacement from Polaris for $115. Still giving the product the benefit of the doubt, I filed a return for the original charger and received a replacement on June 8th through Amazon. This time, I tested it on my Suzuki Quadrunner’s battery (YTX14-BS, 33610-38 F02), which had a healthy voltage reading just over 10 volts before connecting it to the charger. I disconnected the battery from the ATV, checked it with a battery tester, and connected the new MOTOPOWER charger. I returned home from work several hours later to find the charger still in charge mode. I checked the voltage with a multimeter again and to my disbelief, the battery was now reading only 0.9 volts. It’s completely dead. This battery will now cost me another $50 to replace. I’ve attached photos of the charger in use and the voltage readings as proof. Bottom Line: This charger is not safe. It has destroyed two fully functional batteries in less than 10 days. Regardless of the price or compact design, it is not worth the risk of frying your equipment. If I could give it zero stars, I would. Save your time and money. Not only have had to replace the 2 batteries costing almost $200, but also my time and now fuel to take the returns to a UPS drop off location 30 miles away!!!

Good build quality, lacking indicators, questionable charging.
The build is good. Plastic is good quality, sturdy. The quick connectors are good quality. The clips, well sort of good quality a bit thin. I returned it for 4 reasons. 1. It's listed as a 6v/12v charger with force charge mode, but per its manual, the force charge mode is not supported for 6v batteries. Kinda wish they had shared that in the product specs. This leaves me wondering if the desulfator mode was only for 12v as well. There is no way to tell because.... 2. There are not enough ways the charger lets you know what it is doing. It will show you if it has detected a motorcyle or car battery, weather it is 6v or 12v, and if it is being charged or if it is now "charged". It will show you when it is in force mode, which you manually have to put it in. Sounds like a lot of info until something unexpected happens like 3. Will not recognise correctly large, i.e. car batteries, from motorcycle batteries. Hooked it up to two large (440Ah each) 6v battery in series I need trickle charged and maintained, recognised them as a 12v motorcycle battery. This leaves me wondering if it can infact correctly do the other things it says it can - like automatic desulfate or knowing when to turn off the force charge recondition. The force charge recondition is supposed to turn off at a higher voltage than I measured it at - by 2v. All this is lets say "whacky" and maybe not a real issue for most people, but 4. It did not manage to charge the low motorcycle battery on my bike. It is not in good shape, and will go down every 4 weeks if the bike has not been run. I have an analogue old school Schumacher charger that will revive the battery if it has been sitting for 2-3 weeks. The engine will turn over immediately and super fast after charging with the Schumacher. With this charger in question, the battery had been sitting for about two weeks, and the charger indicated it had been charged after about 10mins. Force recondition mode would stay on for just a couple minutes. The lack of indicators on the the charger meant that I did not know exactly what was going on, except that the charger says the battery was charged. To be fair, the engine started etc, but with a lot more trouble than after I use the Schumacher charger. So I'm not saying buy it or don't buy it. Maybe it's worth the price. The problem is what else can you get for the same price and if it is going to work better, or not.
