Solid performance, many control options.
I have used many different dimmers in my home and all work with Alexa which is important to me. Some Lutron dimmers require a hub which I have and it’s not expensive to add if needed. This dimmer is pretty impressive because it makes my wife happy not to have to press multiple buttons to get dimming just right. She wanted a dimmer that she can set once and every time she touches the switch, it goes to the set dimming level. First, this works perfect, no buzz, no flicker, just solid dimming. This model uses a slide on the side of the Decora paddle switch which makes dimming easy to set. Then when you press the switch on, it immediately goes to the preset dimming level which is perfect to set up a closet, bath or kitchen so you’re not blinded until you dim it. My wife especially likes this feature. But, if you press the top again, it jumps to full brightness or you can turn off by pressing the bottom. This is unique to this type dimmer. Another great feature is you can make this a 3 way or add a remote location control by pairing it with a wireless pico PJ2 3BRL with or without dimming. I used a dimming pico (around $24) and it works as a remote switch and can dim as well. I also can control it through Alexa. Awesome switch, works perfect and is the easiest switch to use and explain to a homeowner. No flicker, solid performance. I used LED down lights and wafers. I installed two in my bathroom shower and closet, they both work perfect and independent of each other with no flicker or hum.

My Journey to the Perfect Ambiance
I recently embarked on a journey to enhance the lighting in my home and stumbled upon what I now consider a hidden gem: the Lutron Diva Smart Dimmer Switch. Skeptical at first about its potential impact, I was quickly proven wrong. This little gadget has transformed my mundane lighting into an experience that's both functional and atmospheric. The installation process was surprisingly straightforward. I'm no electrician, but the clear instructions and simple design made it easy to integrate the dimmer into my existing setup. The real magic, however, began once I connected it to my home's Wi-Fi network. The ease of controlling my lights through my smartphone was a game-changer. I could adjust brightness levels from anywhere in my home, creating the perfect ambiance for any occasion. What truly sets this dimmer apart is its compatibility with LED lights. It smoothly transitions from bright to dim without any flickering, a common issue I've faced with other dimmers. This feature alone has elevated my evening relaxation routine, allowing me to create a soothing environment that's perfect for winding down. The energy-saving aspect is another highlight. Being environmentally conscious, I appreciate that this smart dimmer switch helps reduce electricity consumption, especially when paired with LED bulbs. It's comforting to know that enhancing my home's ambiance doesn't have to come at the expense of a higher energy bill or a larger carbon footprint. This dimmer switch has redefined my home lighting experience. It offers a perfect blend of convenience, efficiency, and style, seamlessly fitting into my daily life. If you're looking to upgrade your home lighting system, this smart switch is a choice you won't regret. It's more than just a dimmer; it's a small step towards a smarter, more comfortable home.

Lutron products rock!! They are the best.
I am a big fan of automation. I have standardized on Lutron light switches everywhere. 1-they perform flawlessly 2-they don’t require a “neutral” wire so they’re easy to install 3- they offer the small remote that is about the size of a stick of gum. You can control the lights with it remotely, and it can be reprogrammed anytime to change the Lutron switches it controls, or to operate any number of lights at once 4- works with Alexa and Google. Offers geofencing functionality. 5- can be integrated and control Sonos speakers with the Lutron hub 6-controllable with your phone and has an easy “all lights on” and “all lights off” function. I’ve used other light switches that were triggered on or off by voltage surges and sags, and Lutron has never been affected. One hub controls up to 99 lights

Upgrade Your Home with This Chic and Convenient Smart Dimmer Switch
This Lutron Caseta Smart Lighting Diva Smart Dimmer Switch is definitely a step up from the previous Caseta switches. It's got the same reliable function but with a sleeker, more modern design. The slider and soft-glow light bar allow for precise dimming, and the smart away feature provides peace of mind when you're not home. The price point is a bit high, but the quality and convenience make it a worthwhile investment. I'm planning to slowly replace all my old push-button switches with these superior ones.

Do not buy anything else but a Lutron ... blows them all a way and makes your life easier
Phenomenal!! After years of messing with Wemo crap, I went for it all and so glad I did. Easy to set-up, the app is wonderful. Unlike other systems it connects in 10 seconds and you can use the control, the app to turn on, turn off and schedule. I needed to ask a question and called the support line. They were outstanding. Yep it costs more ... and it is so worth it I cannot even tell you. Great product, great service and the most dependable remote light system on the market. Get the Hub! It connects to the router, but all the lights connect by bluetooth to the Hub. So when your power goes off instead of having to fix 5 light switches, you just get the hub up and running and you are done. Brilliant! Wish I had bought this years earlier would have made my life so much easier. 1 million stars recommendation

Worth the price
A little pricey, but they look great, function very well and are relatively easy to install. I moved into a newly constructed house in 2025 and the builder’s electrician didn’t want to deal with installing anything different than what he uses, so I ended up installing 16 of these in single, double and three-way switch applications (double and three-way in conjunction with the Claro accessory switches) after moving in. They match in very well with the paddle switches that I didn’t replace (see pic). The app for setting up automations is very easy to use. I haven’t had a single problem with them in the 6 months I’ve used them and hope to get many years of use out of them. In my previous house I used much more inexpensive Kasa switches; although I never had an issue with those and the app was also very good, it doesn’t have as large an ecosystem (I only used those in single switch situations) and the looks don’t mesh as seamlessly with the look of regular paddle switches (something I had no issue with, but bothered my wife).

Besides price, these things are about as good as they get for a dumb-passing brilliant smart switch.
This is my favorite smart switch design overall. The form factor is much better than the original caseta smart switches because they can be pressed while walking by without paying much attention to them, much like a traditional rocker switch. The flush original casetas are much fancier/modern looking, but they're much less pleasant to interface with. Obviously, with a "serious" smart home, you can get away with never having to touch a switch (voice assistants, motion/occupancy sensors, etc.), but for those folks that want a smart home that doesn't HAVE to function like one for luddite family/friends, the original casetas are not the right solution. Dimmer interface works well, and everything is intuitive. Mild flickering with some recessed LEDs that claim compatibility, but that's mainly at very low dimming levels. I'm not particularly sensitive, but ANY amount of flickering is completely unacceptable for some people. Only downside is that these things are expensive when converting an entire home to them, but they're reliable and probably the most pleasant user interface/experience as you can buy. Leviton makes a WiFi version I haven't tried yet that also looks good, but if you want to avoid smart devices on your network and/or congestion, this is the main play.

Best Smart Switch - PERIOD!
I've tried several smart switch options in the past, this one checks all the boxes. I have neutral wires at my switch junctions but they're no longer needed. This works perfectly as a 3 way switch with dimming options and integrates beautifully in to my smart home system. The only reasons it's not getting 5 stars is that there's no option for wiring in neutral if available and you do need a Caseta Hub. Neither are deal breakers as the device works flawlessly and integrates very well into Home Assistant.
