I bought this in January 2021, and I'm writing this review a year later because the charging port detached and fell into the device itself - I think the glue or internal solder had become detached, though I've taken great care of it and not knocked it or dropped it.This was a real shame, as up till now it was excellent, especially for the price (I'm having trouble accessing my invoice for it, but I remember that it was about £10). It was so great, in fact, that I've kept checking back to see if it's back in stock, as it would be great for several devices I own - if I'd known how good it was going to be, I'd have bought 5 of them when I made the purchase. A year's use before an internal component came loose, for £10? An absolute bargain by anyone's standards, and I shall have to look elsewhere for something like this. If you see this item re-listed somewhere, snap it up!

Arrived on time, well presented in tin with micro usb to usb 2.0 cable. It was already charged . I plugged in MP3 ,Wow !! I was pleasantly surprised for the price, it had great volume it drove my AKG K92 with enough volume and clarity for you go deaf, if you are not careful . The battery is great. It does have it down sides too, though, when you switch on the unit it makes a pop and volume control not channel balanced at lower volume ,you could only hear left side not both until you turn it up higher. I would recommend it on price ,it sounds ok.

Seems to work well enough but the moment I plugged in the charge cable, the female usb socket disconnected from the board and ripped out its connectors. So, for the period of time it is charged, it works fine.Unfortunately, I didn’t notice there was a screw missing on the case. I suspect it’s a return repair.Double unfortunately because I tried to repair it myself, I guess they won’t accept a return!

Batteries last 2 days. for the type of product this is poor. I have a portable radio where the batteries last many months. I use mine to amplify a pillow speaker and have had to rig it up to an old phone charger so that it's permanently on charge.The audio cord is a bit short, about 3 inches long. This might suit some but you may have buy a longer cord.I have no problem with the quality or volume of sound.The amp is thankfully much smaller than it looks in the photos and it really looks quite good.The volume control is small but quite smooth to operate.The on off switch is a tiny slide switch.All in all this is great for the money.

Love this - especially for the price.Boosts headphone audio about 30% and doesnt distort.Nice smooth volume wheel with no hiss or crackles or weird noises like some do.Just buy it!Oh and it comes in nice presentation tine with usb charger cable

Excellent product - used for the output from a portable CD player to the input of my cars hi- fi - as new cars no longer have CD players built in!

This pre-amplifier enables me to use my standard headphones with my computer, my tablet, an my phone. Just what I needed.
