These organic pinto beans by 1000 Springs Mill are heavenly! They're incredibly clean and cook up tender and flavorful. Just as with their black beans I've not found even one pebble so far. All they require is a quick rinse in a strainer to remove a faint trace of dust. It's obvious that these farmers take pride in what they do and care about producing high quality food.I put 2 cups of beans in my 6-qt pressure cooker with 8 cups of water and let them soak overnight. The next day I pour in a dash of olive oil to reduce foaming, seal the lid and turn on the heat. It takes about 15 minutes to come up to full pressure. Then I reduce the heat to maintain pressure for 10 minutes. Turn off the heat, let the cooker cool down naturally and voila! The most delicious beans I've ever had!The last bucket I got didn't have an oxygen absorber in it (maybe it's buried farther down and I haven't found it yet) but it doesn't matter. I'll be finishing this bucket long before the beans have a chance to get old.Do give these fine farmers your business. They totally deserve it IMHO.

I am picky about my beans, I don't go for yucky looking ones or foreign objects. These beans are really tasty and have had very few rejects and no foreign objects. Let's face it, organic dry beans usually have to be well washed and closely inspected, but not these. The are great! I also really love THE BUCKET, it is CONVENIENT sitting on the floor, under my pantry shelves. We use the pintos, white beans and black beans. Loved all of them... if only they had lentils in a bucket too!

These look so plump and clean. Have seen any debris yet. Have my first batch soaking overnight for beans with ham hock and greens tomorrow the top hinges and reseals nicely

This was damaged and because of this the lid was partly open and the beans were falling out. I was going to store this for awhile and now that the product has been opened it won’t last as long. Apparently you can’t return this. Doesn’t seem right when it came like this

Great packaging. Can't get enough of theae beans. Easy to open, carry and use. Will buy again.

Using for Mexican dishes, make great refried beans, much cheaper than canned.
