Exo Terra Gecko Cave, Large,Brown

I got this hide for my new leopard gecko and it’s perfect to use as a damp hide. Size wise it’s actually smaller inside than it seems and I’m really glad I got the large. The door to the hide is a good size but is a little way above the ground so if you have a smaller leopard gecko you may want to add a stone or something under it to help them climb them. I have it in a 4ft viv and takes up very little space. There’s still plenty of room for my guy though and he seems to be happy enough hiding out in there. The fact that it has a base and the whole of the top comes off makes it perfect to add moss and creat a damp hide for a leopard gecko to help with shedding. It’s easy to clean and the lip on the bottom of the base keeps the moss in place even when you lift the top off, so you can check it regularly for any mould or mess. The whole hide looks great and really natural and far more attractive than the homemade damp hides I’ve had for other reptiles. It isn’t the cheapest hide but it’s really practical and I do think it’s worth the money. Overall I’m really happy with this hide and would definitely recommend it, especially the large sized one for leopard geckos.

You need to order Large if you have an adult gecko, The appearance is great and is so realistic, leopard gecko fits nicely in the large size and wouldnt go smaller. Easy to lift up and put new moss in there, It is expensive compared to others out there but the quality is very high. Cleans with hot water so easy.

Bought as a moist hide for our leopard gecko. Very solid and well made. Excellent size and gecko seems happy to go in it - added sphagnum moss but it does dry out quite quickly (easily solved by spraying with water). Would recommend.

This is a great product for your leopard geckos humid hide however just something to be aware of. Gekos like to climb and explore and the top of this hide is super slippy. First evening it went in my poor girl fell off of it. Really needs to be sanded or roughed so your geko doesn’t hurt themselves.

I'm glad I read the reviews or else I might not have gotten the large size which is perfect for my adult leopard gecko. The small cave might seem adequate from the pictures but it would not have been worth the lower price. Any moss used should be checked every few days between spritzing to see about replacing with fresh moss. Am very pleased with this cave.

Excellent hide, delivered intact which with this kind of item is always hit and miss. My adult corn snake loves it.

My leopard gecko loves this hide. Its filled with damp sphagnum moss and a few days before he is due to shed this is where he spends most of him time. The crickets love to hide in it too so a easy meal for the gecko.
