It works well and the purchase price is fair.

I bought these as a gift for a coworker. He is in his 70’s and he uses this daily to look at small details in things. He really likes this. Also got the longer one and he probably uses that more.

I normally love the Carson products but the lens on this is not square as one might expect. The main magnification is a circular lens embedded in the square lens which makes the edges blurry.

My wife suffers from macular degeneration and as a result her vision is impaired. These convenient sized illuminated magnifiers are really helpful to her. They are well built, easily operated, accessible and purse sized, in fact she has several throughout the house. They are not designed as play things for kids and I doubt the device would last long in the hands of a child. Installing the three AAA sized batteries can be a little tricky but once you get the hang of it you’ll do fine. We would recommend this device.

Here we have a wonderful tool for folks with vision difficulties.. no directions on how to insert batteries but i open it up and there is a spring accross the area where the batteries belong. My bad vision makes this process doubly difficult…Amazon no longer has a phone number for assembly help so clicking on the help button tskes me to the “send it back” process… so that is what i did. Grrrrr

Useful, bought for work. the light will switch off automatically when the lens is retracted. The magnifier provides a clear image.

I have bought this magnifier according to Amazon 15 times over several years. I don’t need the light so I can’t review that however, I love the magnification and how it is compact and easy to keep in a pocket.. My problem is that it easily breaks. The plastic is made of does not seem as strong as original ones. I bought years ago, and if you drop it on any hard services like tile, the glass pops out, and you can’t fit it back in because it’s cracked on the corner.. I don’t know if I will continue to purchase them, but I am looking at others made a better quality. The price is also increased over the years as the quality has gone down.

Comparing this Carson 5X LumiPop with another Carson of the same size that I have, I like that the new one has a stronger light. When I received the new one and tried it, the additional battery cover popped out, which I was not pleased since it is made of thin plastic leaving the impression that it will break in the future. I proceeded to use it without that additional battery cover and it works fine. The old Carson one automatically lights up when you slide to open it. The new Carson one, you press and slide to pop it open, but then have to go to the right upper part of the magnifying glass and slide where there are tiny white marking letters for you to decide if you want the light. Who knows if these white marking letters will wear off in the future. The light is helpful to those needing a magnifying glass. I have decided to keep the new one only because of its stronger light and same small size, but I am closing it without sliding it to “off” to have the light automatically on when I open it, save myself a step, and prevent the tiny slider from breaking in the future. I just hope the light turns off when I close it and it does not wear off my batteries.

持ち歩けるルーペを探していてたどり着きました。 レンズがスライド収納できるので傷やホコリ、手の跡などを気にせずにバッグやポケットに放り込めるのが良いですね。 非球面レンズで歪みが少ないこと、LEDライトをONのまま収納すれば展開時に自動で点灯するのも良い。 表面がザラザラした仕上がりで滑り止め効果もありそうです。 コーティングではないので経年劣化でベトベトになるなんてことも無さそうです。 シャコッと飛び出るのが癖になりついついに意味無く出し入れしてしまいます。

All the other magnified glasses I have tried not really helpful because the larger lens doesn't multiply very much but this one I use all the time. I love magnifies quite a bit and makes it so much easier for me to thread and needle or to read the print on a medicine bottle, and I also love that I just press a button and it comes out with a light backing it. It's small to take anywhere and I definitely would recommend it. When I purchased this May/25 it was $10 and today it's $26 and I call that price gouging.
