6 Quart Kitchen Aid Mixer Attachments, Flex Edge Beater Paddle with Scraper for 6 QT Bowl-lift Kitchen Aid Stand Mixer, 6 QT Mixer Accessory Replacement

I make thousands of cookies every year and I was worried that this beater might not bear up under the stress. I've only made 3 batches since I got the beater, but it seems to be holding up. We'll see what happens. The beater does make working with cookie dough a lot easier. I've always hated having to stop the mixer and scrape down the bowl multiple times And, I figure the beater is inexpensive enough to purchase another if this one can't do the job for very long. It would be nice if Kitchenaid bought the design of this beater and made it with metal.

I read a lot of reviews prior to purchasing this as I do a lot of baking. Many folks were saying that it made a lot of noise when they used it. I did not experience that. It does like most paddles do with the rubber edging, scrape the side of the bowl. Mine did do that as well. I think with the weird little nob at the bottom and a properly adjust bowl height you will find that it does do a little bit better on mixing Everything up from the bottom.When I used mine, I was making cookies, so there were a lot of things that you might want to make sure are well mixed into your doe. It was OK for this and did a fair job on the mixing.One thing that I did not like was that at the bottom while it was mixed, it really did not pull that little bit of doe up and into the main area of the doe. So I needed to mix this with a Plastic spatula. The doe was consistent and easy to scoop out. The cookies (Pumpkin Chocolate chip) tasted good!This was a plastic paddle so I will take some abuse but not a lot.I would recommend this if you can't find one that is flat. Or one that has the fingers on the edge.

This is not as sturdy as others I have had as they were metal and this is plastic: I have only used it a few times but it seems to get the job done

Product was shipped with a bag of potting soil and a smaller box of gadgets. Soil and damage to the plastic noted on arrival.

Love my new attachment for my kitchen aid mixer .works great no having to stop and scrape the bowl mixes everything beautifully

This attachment works better than I anticipated, but I’m not sure how long it will hold up, it doesn’t seem very sturdy. I keep looking for it to snap in half during use. It’s easy enough to clean, but being plastic, it keeps the greasy feeling from shortening and butter.

Fits my kitchen aid stand mixer, far cheaper than the brand name. It is plastic, so not as solid as the metal ones, but still strong enough to mix thick batter

This does not fit the kitchen aid very well. The plastic is very light weight. It is also very loose when put on the Kitchen Aid stand does not feel like it will stay one when machine is at a high speed.
