I received what has been described to me as a "defective model" though I didn't have an issues with the product until some time had passed. When initially received, I expected some things to work as follows: Power button POWERS ON the device, and POWERS OFF the device. The bluetooth should connect when prompted and disconnect when prompted. OBD2 information should be shared between the device and my separate device.Of course the power button has never worked as expected, which could be ignored if the bluetooth worked properly. The first 42 hours were complete bliss, everything worked more efficiently than my cheaper <$10 OBD2. Then, out of nowhere I was hit with no connections, constant disconnecting, and general non working. It works on and off now, when it does it is great. But the majority of the time it isn't worth even half the hassle it is.I have since gone back to using a cheaper model, as something that always work all the time (though first connection can take up to but rarely ever 30 seconds) is better than something that connects in 5 seconds or not at all.I can provide more details if anyone would like me to go into detail, but I highly doubt I just had a defective model because when it works, it's nearly flawless. Overall I did not like it and will not buy another.
