Mihachi Dog Socks Rubber Sole Paw Protectors with Straps Traction Control Anti-Slip Waterproof Boots Winter Paw Protectors

I looked at many review about booties for dogs that were not so good so I thought I'd write about our experience with these and the size (L). We have a 71 pound golden retriever. Her (rear paws) measurements are as follows. I've matched up the letter used in the sizing chart as well: Length of her foot pad (B) is 3", width (A) is 2", From the top of her Ankle bone to the tips of her toes is 8" (D), The ankle above the ankle bone is 2" around (C). The XL's fit great for the (D). The rubber pads align pretty well with (A) and (B). (C) is almost irrelevant because of the Velcro but fits well. Our dog drags her rear feet because of slight neurological issue and has challenges with her hips. We purchased these to help with grip when she gets up. We found with the XL's that because they don't align with the pads perfectly the have a tendency to flop a bit. She does run on occasion and that's when we get concerned. She may trip. When she walks the flop of the boot isn't to much of an issue other than we can hear it drag. So we purchased these in size Large. The sizing is actually better for her pads but the total length (D) is short and to get the Velcro up over the knuckle of her ankle means we have to stretch it. This put a bit of pressure at her toes. In the end, we're trying to stretch the (Large) while using the (Extra Large.) If we can get the (Large) to stretch enough we'll actually use them instead.

I wanted to like these. I bought them for our medium size cattle dog mix. They just didn’t stay on. I bought these and another style boot that did not have the high socks like these and they stay put. These just didn’t work out for us. Good quality just fit doesn’t hold them on well.

Got a medium and I doubt even an XL would have work. I have a 25lb beagle/cocker spaniel. The socks have zero stretch to get around the paw and it's all fabric so her nails would catch.

ACCOMPANIES ME EVERYWHERE AS SHE IS MY SERVICE DOG AND THE PAVEMENT AND CONCRETE ARE GETTING MIGHTY HOT!!!!I'VE SEARCHED HIGH AND LOW ALL ON AMAZON FOR A SUMMER BOOT BUT THE SIZE CHARTS ARE A NIGHTMARE TO FIGURE OUT AND MOST SIZES ARE WAY TOO SMALL ANYWAY.OK, THE GOOD, THESE ARRIVED ON TIME AND IN THE TWO SIZES ORDERED KNOWING FULL WELL THAT MOST ALL DOGS' HIND FEET RUN ONE SIZE SMALLER THAN THEIR FRONT FEET. I FELT INSIDE EACH SOCK TO SEE IF THERE WERE ANY POTENTIAL IRRITANTS AND FOUND NONE! TO MY HAPPY SURPRISE, THE VELCRO AT THE TOP IS ALSO ELASTIC, THIS GOOD FOR TWO REASONS, THEY ARE LONG ENOUGH TO WRAP SEVERAL TIMES AROUND THE TOP AND STRETCH FOR EXTRA COMFORT AS THE PUP MOVES AROUND IN THEM.THE BAD, WELL I ORDERED BOTH LARGE AND XL. THOSE ARE THE LARGEST SIZES THEY MANUFACTURE. IT TOOK ME AN HOUR TO GET ALL FOUR FEET INTO EACH RESPECTIVE SOCK. DOGS LIKE HUMAN CHILDREN LOVE TO CURL UP THEIR TOES. I CINCHED THE ELASTIC & VELCRO DOWN REALLY TIGHT. AFTER I GOT THEM ON HER THERE WAS NO HIGH STEPPING. THEY SEEMED COMFORTABLE TO WEAR BUT I'M CONCERNED ABOUT HOW MUCH HEAT THEY WILL GENERATE WHEN SHE'S IN THEM ALL DAY LONG. A LIGHTER COLORED SOCK WITH THE RUBBER BOTTOM WOULD BE BETTER.THE UGLY, AFTER A FEW TRIPS AROUND THE HOUSE, A POTTY RUN, SHE WANTED TO GO TO BED. AS SOON AS SHE JUMPED UP ON THE BED SHE FIGURED OUT THAT IF SHE KICKED HER FOOT BACKWARD THE DARN THING WOULD START TO COME OFF. MEANING THEY WILL SLIDE DOWN HER LEG AND OFF HER FOOT SO WHEN WE ARE OUT AND ABOUT THESE THINGS WILL ROLL AROUND AND SLIDE DOWN HER LEGS AND EVENTUALLY I CAN SEE THEM BECOMING A TRIP HAZARD FOR HER. WE HAVE YET TO GIVE THEM A GO OUTSIDE FOR A LONG WALK OR RAMBUNCTIOUS RUN/PLAY TIME. WILL TRY TO UPDATE LATER. AS FOR THEIR DURABILITY, THIS TOO SHALL BE UPDATED LATER. ONE WEARING AROUND THE HOUSE DOESN'T GIVE ME ENOUGH ACCURATE INFO.UPDATE: THESE WILL NOT WORK FOR MY PURPOSES. 1. THEY ARE WAY TOO HOT FOR HER TO WEAR WHEN WE ARE OUT AND ABOUT ON THE HOT SUMMER ASPHALT AND CONCRETE. 2. THEY DO NOT STAY IN POSITION LIKE THEY SHOULD ESPECIALLY WHEN SHE'S JOGGING ALONG. 3. THEY TAKE WAY TOO LONG TO PUT BACK ON WHEN THEY SLIDE DOWN OUT OF PROPER POSITION.FOR OTHER USES, THEY MAY BE FINE BUT FOR MINE THEY ARE A ONE STAR. :(

These socks go higher up the leg and stay in place! Although they have the waterproof on the paws, they aren’t good in snow because the sock gets soaked.

When it comes to looking for dog boots, it’s more of a miss than a hit. I’ve read some of the reviews about these sock boots not staying on but thought I’d still give it a try. Measured and ordered the size best fit for my dog only to find out it’s huge! The measurements are NOT accurate. So because of the sizing issue, it kept flying off all four paws. If the measurements were accurate or At least close to what the size chart said, I honestly think these would have fit a lot better and would have stayed on with minor tweaking. Since dogs have bigger paws in front and smaller paws in the back, finding a fitting size for all four will always be difficult, but there are ways to make them fit better as long as the measurements of the boots or socks are more accurate.As for durability, I can’t comment since we had it returned. These would be perfect for light strolls. Nothing crazy active as they will definitely tear on the bottom rubber. The inside has a softer cloth like material that was sewn in. Not cushioned. You can have your pet wear socks before wearing these if you like.Other than the my issue. This would have been fine.

These boots are great! Great price! Great quality. Good traction. Highly recommend.

I got an XS for my pup. Easy to put on and finally shoes that stay on!!! I wish the rubber paw part would be a bit smaller but since the sock part is tights enough, it stays on.

Product is good quality but not made for dogs that don’t like to wear booties. They can be removed quite easily.

These are perfect for my 13.5lbs. miniature poodle in the XS size. Be careful not to catch the sock part with the Velcro band, it pulls thread. I find them easy to put on, but my dog is very cooperative. They stay on very well.Edited: I am sorry to add that even if the fit was perfect, the socks/boots self-destructed on the second wear. Too bad.
