It works most of the time, but sticks closed sometimes and requires a shake to get it to move.

Pretty much works as intended, does it work well, it is a bit heavy but not too heavy. Not sure if more weight would distribute better since it isn't an adjustable one and it simply uses it's own weight to drop down and push and distribute the grounds evenly. First time using and it definitely makes keeping an even tamp much easier and faster, would definitely want to try an adjustable one instead of gravity one such as this one.
