I'm Starting Nursery: A Princess Polly book

Great book series for toddler transitions
This has been great in helping my nervous daughter get excited about the idea of going to playschool. I already have 3 other books from the Princess Polly series and they’ve played a big role in helping my 2 year old deal with big changes; baby sister, potty training and big girl bed. I’d absolutely recommend. The story follows Polly as she visits playschool for the first time with her mum and sees what goes on, other children playing games, lunch break, where she uses the toilet and hangs her coat etc. it also includes naptime for kids that will be there all day. There is a button that you press with each page that sounds like a big cheer; only downside is that it’s the same cheer as other princess Polly books, I hoped it might be something different but my daughter doesn’t seem to mind. The bright colourful pictures really resonate with my daughter; the layout is such that she can now read it to herself from memory as it’s very visual with only a small amount of text which is reassuring and repetitive. A great buy.I’m a mum of 2 who does lots of research before I buy anything and rely on good reviews to help me. Lovely book for starting nursery :)
My 2 yr old loved this book! Gave it to her a few weeks before starting nursery with her new nursery back pack! She was so excited and has kept reading it weeks after starting telling me her favourite things to do their (there’s a page about this)! Definitely recommend

Explains well, what to expect when starting nursery.
Bought this book to get my little ones head around the fact she’s starting nursery soon. It hits the nail on the head with everything it says. (Except for nap time) I think it explains well to a little one what to expect and my daughter is already excited to make new friends and play! It explains about the little toilets as well as all the activities she will do which I find very useful for a nervous toddler. On the last page daddy picks up princess polly and she had already associated herself with Polly and said she wanted daddy to let go of her hand so she could stay and play with her friends! I’m hoping she’s happy when she goes for real! I’d recommend this book to friends.

Great book
I’ve bought nearly the full range of princess polly books as my granddaughter as grown and we wouldn’t be without them , they make the next venture fun and easy for the children to process things and it’s just a fun read , really good little book 👍🏼

Great for little pre-schoolers
A great little narrative that addresses the common anxieties some children face when starting nursery/school.Also love that Polly has adventures as well as Pete.
