KitchenAid Variable Speed Corded Hand Blender, KHBV53, Contour Silver

I've had this for six years and I couldn't love it more. It works (and looks) just as good today as it did when it was new, and I use it regularly. The one feature that I love the most is that it does NOT have a silly lock button (I had a cuisinart, but couldn't stand having to use two hands to hold the stupid thing - I need one hand to hold the bowl or pot!). This one is powerful, easy to clean and store, and easy to use. And pretty, too! This is the ultimate stick blender, as far as I'm concerned. I'd buy it again and again (and happily, I don't need to!).

Grabbed this to stop dirtying our big blender every time we mix up a batch of dressing, just wanted to stick it right in the mixing pitcher and go. Power handles it fine, it breaks down the oil and buttermilk into a smooth, emulsified dressing in under a minute without leaving any separated streaks of oil floating on top like a whisk sometimes does. Versatility wise it's become a one-tool operation for us, same blender goes from dressing to pancake batter to blending up soup, so it's earning its keep in the drawer instead of collecting dust. Capacity is decent for how we use it, the shaft is long enough to reach the bottom of a tall mixing pitcher without splashing everywhere, and stability in the hand is solid even when the mixture starts thickening up toward the end. The removable arm attachment is the detail that sold me though, being able to pop it off and rinse it under the tap instead of hand washing a whole blender base saves a good chunk of time on batch days. Only complaint is the low speed setting is still a bit much for just getting things started, wish there was a true "stir" speed below it. Does the job well and cleanup takes half the time our old blender did.

This is 100% a no-regret purchase for me. It's solid, has great variable power that's controlled solely by your trigger finger, making adjustment very intuitive and easy. I also love the surface and quality of the build. Cleaning is so convenient, and this is probably why I've ended up using this on a daily basis. Twisting off the blade portion is effortless, and it gets cleaned off immediately, easily, and done. It takes 10 seconds to clean. My sister saw me use it once and ordered one immediately. She loves hers, too. I wouldn't hesitate to purchase this again.

This KitchenAid variable-speed corded hand blender is 5 stars. Durable, and more than worth the extra money for the leader in this space. I’ve used it for soups, salsas, and even mayonnaise. It’s powerful enough for everything I needed, and you can feel the difference between this and cheaper versions. That’s the whole case for paying more. Cheap stick blenders bog down, rattle, or leave chunks. This one has the power and control to actually blend what you put in front of it, from hot soup to thicker stuff like mayo. Variable speed helps instead of just blasting everything on one setting. If you use a hand blender more than once in a while, the KitchenAid is the one I’d buy. Durable, strong, and it earns the extra cost.

I've gone through 5 of these things (other brands) & NONE worked like this one does! Others would easily get bogged down if not approached with patience & trepidation. This one might just laugh at concrete! It doesn't redecorate my kitchen—or threaten to wake the dead. It mixes up my shakes without the slightest hesitation, and that's saying a lot given what all I throw in there. Also, this is the 1st variable speed that truly is. Most would be really slow or super fast with little, if any variation in between. And it doesn't have that extra "safety" button either: just squeeze to blend. I imagine some might consider its length unwieldy, but I find it perfect for my needs. It can easily whip or blend in a container as deep as a quart size canning jar—which is what I use. It DOES come with a detachable blade guard to safeguard more fragile cookware, and, I imagine, to prevent scratching the included acrylic(?) beaker. The beaker also has a lid that fits securely. (Not sure the beaker is actually acrylic—but it looks, feels, and seems so.) I'm super happy with this KitchenAid blender and praying for a long, fruitful relationship!

The product description is misleading as it fails to mention anywhere that the item comes with an American plug and operates at 120V. This is not compatible with the UAE power system. When I reached out to the seller to address the issue, they were unhelpful and unwilling to resolve the problem. If I purchase from Amazon.ae, I expect products to either be compatible with UAE standards (plug and voltage) or for this information to be clearly stated in the description. Disappointed with the lack of transparency and seller support. Let me know if you’d like any adjustments!

I am collecting all I can fir the Kitchenaid items. When I make soups or smoothies its great.

I'm in love with this blender. It gets done in less than a minute what would have been a lot longer with my old egg beaters! Seems really well built and I really like the ease of the power button to change speeds.....just squeeze.
