13.2 Gallon Touchless Motion Sensor Kitchen Trash Can, Matte Stainless

WOW!!!!!! This trash can is absolutely beautiful! It’s easy to operate. You simply waive your hand over the top a few inches above and the lid opens after five seconds it closes by itself silently. !! Yes it’s expensive !!! But how many trash cans for the kitchen do you buy in your lifetime? I’m probably keeping this one for the rest of my life and I’m not sorry I purchased it. I could’ve purchased a cheaper one maybe half the price at COSCO. But would I be happy with it? Probably not. Go ahead and spend the money it’s worth it. I know you’re gonna love it. !!

This was a major improvement over another touchless lid opening trash can we had. I loved this can for going on 9 months now. But just the last week it has started to malfunction. The lid won't open at all, or it opens partially and immediately closes. I'm hoping there is some kind of reset or remedy for this since I really want to love this can. It has fresh batteries, so that is not the issue. Update: I contacted Amazon customer service for advice on getting this lid to work and they gave me a full refund, so I am happy about that. I still have a lid that malfunctions, but I didn't have to pay for it. Not sure if I'll order another one like this. I can't find a way to contact the manufacturer to find out if there is a solution other than ordering a new one. I don't see a lot of other customers on here that have my same problem, so maybe the issue isn't a common one. Another update. The refund promised by Amazon has never come after asking about it twice. I have also contacted the manufacturer. After talking to 2 different customer service people, and being told this model number doesn't exist, and that maybe I didn't put the batteries in right, they had me email another "department." I got an email back that this model is so new they can't replace the lid and that my email will be sent to the "main office" and it could take 6 to 8 weeks to see if they can do anything for my malfunctioning product that I paid over $100 for. I'm deducting stars as I speak, this is junk. UPDATE! I never heard back from the manufacturer, however I received a package with a new lid in it. Then about a week later I received a check from the manufacturer for the full purchase price plus tax, so I have changed my one star rating to a 5 star. The new lid is working perfectly so far. This company was not great on communication but they came through and stood behind their product, I can't ask more than that. So I would now recommend this trash can.

My garbage can stopped working about a year and a half in. Search the product and Amazon say it has a 3 year warranty. Reached out to seller about the issue and was told there is only a 1 year warranty so they won’t replace the lid and offered a discount for 20% didn’t feel like fighting it so I was going to happily accept the 20% off, however, the discount code provided doesn’t work. Reached out to seller again, they said they have put in a request for a new code. After following up twice, I received a new discount code. Still doesn’t work. Reach out to seller again and This time I address the warranty and provided a picture. They tell me only the older models only have a 3 warranty. they say to try the code again. And again it still doesn’t work.. this has been an awful customer service experience. For the price of this product I expected better. I really enjoyed this product prior to this, however, I will no longer buy anything of the brand due to this experience.

Great Kitchen garbage can that is easy to open with a swipe of the hand and to replace the bag ... well ... the inner piece that holds the plastic bag is very thin and light and not easy to replace with a new bag. I wish the piece was a little heavier weight. It needs a better design. Otherwise; I love the handles on the side and the small footprint of the can!!

This trash can is great. Depending on the batteries you use, you may have to replacement more frequently but I have found my local grocery store batteries work fine and have lasted months. The design is very slick and holds a good amount of trash without getting too gross. The sensor is sensitive enough to open when needed but not too sensitive that opens up at all times. My kids like it too and it's nice to know we don't have to touch the trash can at all. I highly recommend it and I'm even consider getting one for everyone in my life and a second one for me.

This trash can is almost perfect. The motion sensor is super convenient and works reliably, the size is ideal for my kitchen and fits nicely under the counter, and the stainless steel finish really is fingerprint resistant, which keeps it looking clean. That said, I ran into two problems with the unit I received. First, one of the foot pieces kept falling out when I unboxed it. I’m not sure why it wasn’t secure, but I used a bit of hanging putty to keep it in place and that solved the problem. The bigger issue is the deodorizer compartment. It simply does not stay closed when using the EKO filter refills that are supposed to be made for this can. I even tried trimming the filter smaller, but it still pops open. This makes the deodorizer feature essentially unusable, which is frustrating since it was one of the selling points of this model. Overall, it’s a stylish, convenient trash can that I use every day, but the deodorizer flaw keeps it from being a true 5-star product.

I am totally disappointed. I bought this in March and it already doesn't work. I am sorry I bought this. The lid doesn't open or shut like it should.

I purchased this trash can for my kitchen because it matched my recycling can next to it. I sometimes have dirty hands so I thought this EKO trash can would be good. WRONG!! There is a problem with this garbage can that the company is aware of and did nothing to repair the issue The motorized lid is all controlled from the lid itself, and thus. the batteries are in the lid itself. Not a good idea!! The battery compartment in the lid has a small piece of black plastic holding the batteries in! Hello, did anyone ever hear of Issac Newton? Gravity people!! When you touch the lid or activate the motor it loosens the battery cover, and guess what happens next? Right, the battery cover falls into the garbage and you may not realize it until the batteries finally get loose and also fall into the garbage! You may not know it. Like me, until the motor no longer works. It’s at that time that you realize that both the battery cover and all the batteries are gone and was just picked up by the garbage company! Of course you wouldn’t know it until the can’t open the lid!!! So I did research and found a number for EKO in China. They finally found a woman who can speak English. I explained to her what my problem was and she said , yes other customers had the same problem. Well duh, if customers are having a problem why don’t you correct it? No answer from her. She responded to my inquiry by saying someone will check it out and get back to me!! If you bet that no one would respond to me you win. Of course no one got back to me and worse yet, I had the product for 32 days and they refused to help me!! Two days over and they wouldn’t listen to me. So now what? I have a non responsive company in China and Amazon not help with a defective product two days over the 30 day time frame. DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND FORGET THIS PRODUCT! You will wind up like me with an expensive trash can with no lid. UPDATE: It has now been 3 months and they never return your calls! So now I have this expensive trash can without any lid! I’ve spoken to people at EKO USA, and they lie to you. They say: “Oh, we’ve heard about that problem and someone will get back to you shortly!” Shortly is 3 months with no call or email. Hey, we’re talking about a tiny piece of plastic that holds the batteries in place and they can’t even send that to me? If you purchase this can and have a problem, FORGET IT! EKO USA doesn’t have the courtesy to respond to you!! EKO USA- NO FORGET IT AND LOOK ELSEWHERE!!!

I never thought I would buy a self opening & this pricey of a garbage can. I can’t believe how much I love this piece. I’m getting back surgery in January & due to the nerve damage down the legs & in feet have been having trouble using the step functions on a regular can. I was constantly tripping so actually bought this for more of a safety issue for me. I also need surgery on my elbow for nerve damage in my hand (so much fun getting old lol) and with this I can use both hands to hold any garbage & no longer dropping items around the old can. Having said that, now that I have this can I would buy it even if I wasn’t having these issues. It’s beautiful & holds so much more garbage than my old round one. This model comes with 12 of the EKO white garbage bags but as others have stated the Costco ones fit perfectly. I haven’t used the deodorant compartment yet, I’ll have to see how much odor the garbage gives off since this one holds so much more than our old one. I’ve only had it a few days so will update if there are any issues. It is pricey but it’s worth every penny. You won’t be disappointed! Thank you EKO for this quality product. Update February 2025: Still working perfectly. Because this trash can holds so much more garbage than my old round one I did find more odor about 3/4 full but only noticed when I opened the can. Closed it does seem to hold the odor in. I decided to try the odor control pads which definitely help so I don’t have to change the garbage bag until it’s full. You don’t really need them but I do like them as I’m sensitive to smells. I am also using the EKO trash bags provided as I wanted to see how they performed and they are a strong bag. There is no stretch to them (as with the Costco bags) but they fit like a glove and have yet to get a rip in any of them. Once I’m out of my costco bags I will be buying the EKO trash bags as they are stronger than the costco ones. When taking the garbage bag out there is no ‘suction’ as what would happen with my old round can and I would struggle pulling the bag out. These bags come out very easily which doesn’t seem like a big deal to some but with my back issues not having to struggle with getting the bag out is a big plus for me. Quality product all the way around. Very, very satisfied with these purchases and highly recommend. Update February 2026: Still working perfectly and still looks brand new. Quality, Quality product. Highly recommend EKO!!!

Primeiro é preciso entender que não é barata, você pode encontrar outros modelos com preços mais acessíveis e que cumprem a mesma função, afinal é uma lixeira. Porém nenhuma delas vai entregar o nível de beleza que a Deluxe Mirage-T. Acabamento premium de verdade, revestida de aço escovado que faz com que ela se torne parte da decoração. Eleva o nível da cozinha de forma que nem parece uma lixeira. O tamanho é perfeito para 3/4 pessoas. Abertura e fechamento bem silenciosos e tem a opção de deixar a tampa aberta e fechar quando precisar. Ela tem um compartimento para filtro de carvão ativado para reter os maus odores, porém não veio o filtro. Eles enviam também algumas amostras do saco de lixo da mesma marca, nada muito diferente do que já temos no Brasil e achei muito caro fazer a reposição, vou utilizar o que temos aqui mesmo. Caso esteja em dúvida quanto a aquisição, eu recomendo caso o valor esteja dentro de suas possibilidades (a Amazon parcela… rsrs) e que queria uma lixeira que complementa a decoração da cozinha, ou melhor, uma lixeira que não precisa ficar escondida.

Es de las cosas que no pueden faltan en tu cocina o cualquier otro espacio, le da un toque y hace lucir mucho mejor el espacio en donde lo pongas, ya que es de aluminio, me gusta que no necesitas estár abriéndolo manualmente ya que tiene sensor, no se le escapan los olores, viene con un apartado para que puedas colocarle un anti olores (se vende por separado) venía con un paquete de bolsas, tomar en cuenta que funciona con 4 pilas AA, las cuales no vienen incluidas, les recomiendo que usen pilas recargables, yo le puse de las normales y me duraron 6 meses aprox.

Estamos muy contentos con este cesto de basura automático, funciona perfectamente, el sensor abre la tapa rápido y sin problemas, es muy práctico y cómodo para la cocina porque no tienes que tocar la tapa con las manos, además tiene buen tamaño y buen diseño, muy satisfechos con la compra, lo recomendamos. ⭐
