Perfect match for my 2008 Jeep Wrangler

It works, sorta.I want to point out that I have had a lot of electrical trouble with this Jeep. I expect that it's not the TPS that is the issue. It was slow to pair with the ECM. It unpairs and then fixes itself but the time it takes to re-pair with the ECM keeps getting shorter. May decide to unpair at a stop light and you can count on the light coming on when you restart the motor.That it will fix itself and start working again makes me think the TPS is fine. I expect the problem is in whatever picks up the signal from the TPS. If things change I will edit this post.10/23/2022 UPDATE; Noticed that it unpaired at the same spots all the time. Start looking for a reason I find that I am close to a cell phone repeater tower. I am going to say lack of signal strength is the issue.Fixing to replace all of them with a different brand, just not worth saving a few bucks and having the issue.

Installed into my 2010 Jeep Liberty wheels. Giving it a 4/5 star rating because my Jeep will not automatically set the tire position (like it is supposed to do). It displays the tire pressure very accurately, but unfortunately, the locations displayed are not correct. So if you have a low tire, it will tell you it is low, but will not tell you the correct tire position that is low. Every time you start the vehicle, it sets a "check TPMS" across the driver display, but DOES NOT set the orange tire light on the dash, therefore I am still happy with the product.

I was needing to replace the TPM sensors on my daughters 2005 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo (her Jeep has the basic TPMS system for that year and not the deluxe system that reports individual tires). After reading at a lot of different forums and such I was dreading replacing them. Are they going to work, are they not going to work, do I have to pay somebody a ridiculous amount of money to reprogram so that my ECU sees these new IDs etc.Well, it was time to put new tires on her Jeep and after extensive Internet research, I decided on these Dorman TPMS's. Dorman makes two models for this Jeep. One, where the IDs have to be manually programed into your ECU (special equipment required) and the other one is a relearning one that communicates with the sensors in your wheel wells and to your ECU and records the new IDs automatically into your ECU.These (974-001) are the second ones, the relearning ones. I painted her rims black for her, installed the new sensors, had the new tires installed, and put them back on her Jeep. Within 20 minutes of driving, the TPMS dash light went out and they work like a champ (I let air out of one of the tires and the TPMS light came back on, aired it back up and in a couple of minutes, the light went out). It was a nice feeling because after all that I read, I figured that I would end up paying a shop to program them into my ECU. :)Thanks Dorman for a product that does what it says it will do.Update: April 2020. These sensors have been on my daughters Jeep for two years now. They all still function as they should, no corrosion or other issues. I have a 2008 Ram, Quad Cab, 4WD, 5.7, 545RFE. The TPMS light went on, and after receiving a $900 estimate from the dealer, I chose to get the TPMS replaced at America's Tire for $322. They installed a Schrader brand which did not work and after several visits at America's Tire, the manager told me to take it to the RAM dealer. I took my Ram to Chrysler of Redlands, where they told me it was the "win module" which needed to be replaced for $221 plus labor for a total of nearly $500. I agreed, however, the problem continued. The dealer later said that it was one of the sensors which had been installed by America's Tire, and neede to be replaced for $108 plus $130 labor. I agreed to get it replaced, however, after I drove away, the TPMS light came back on. I researched the issue on the internet and came to learn this is the only part that works on my RAM, Dorman 974-001. I bought the sensors here at Amazon for $115 and had them installed by Les Schwab of Fontana for only $8 each for a grand total of $32. The TPMS issue was immediately resolved, for less than $150. I contacted America's Tire and they were willing to refund me after I returned their sensors. I am currently working with the dealer, in trying to get my money back for the good parts they removed and threw away, and for failing to fix my RAM. If the dealer refuses, I will get my credit card bank involved in trying to get my money back. Dorman is the sensor for my 2008 Ram, and possibly many other Chrysler vehicles having the same issue, at tire shops and the dealer.

Bought for Jeep Commander 2006. Previous grey version worked flawlessly. This version detects pressure but "Service Tire Press. System" warning in EVIC won't go away.....

Had my tpms light come on after having a new set of tires put on my factory wheels. The goodyear service center said that one of my tpms sensors was going bad and was able to get the light turn off by replacing a single sensor at no cost to me. They explained that I needed to replace the remaining three as they should all be replaced at the same time but at $80 a piece I was hesitant. After a month the light came back on. So I found these on Amazon and bought four of them at 25 a piece. Received them quickly and called a local tire kingdom to schedule installation. They were quick to tell me that they do not install outside parts. Ugh. I called a wal-mart tire and lube center and they agreed to install them for only $5 per tire (the charge was for mounting/balancing). The tech warned me that they did not have the equipment to program the sensors but I explained that the jeep patriot will auto program after driving on them for 20 minutes at a constant speed. Well after the install I left Walmart and within 1 mile the tpms dash light turned off. Woohoo!! Total repair cost including four of these sensors from Amazon, and installation at wal-mart was only $120.00!

This is an excellent and economical replacement for the factory TPM sensor. It was easy to install and the computer read the sensor within minutes of driving. I will buy another when the next sensor fails.

The Dorman 974-001 was installed on new aluminium, styled wheels mail ordered from a big box store, as per Dorman instructions. New tires were then mounted on the rims; however, not mounted on the vehicle - a 2010 Jeep Liberty. They were mounted later on the vehicle at home and when driven for about 20 minutes, in town, the sensor relearn was automatic and the orange low tire pressure light on the dash went out. There was no need to use an expensive sensor relearn device nor go to a dealer at great expense. A great result.
