A Must Have for all Associated with Special Ed
As with all their other special ed books, Wrightslaw hit another one out of the park. Their books are the definitive collection for special ed parents, teachers and administrators. Parents, want to know you and your child's rights?~ try the advocacy book. Want to know the educational law concerning special ed? They have a book for it. Want to understand No Child Left Behind or IDEA? Well, that's there too. As lawyers and special ed advocates, these folks definitely know their stuff. As both a special ed teacher and a special ed mom, I appreciate the user friendly way their products are laid out, clearly and concisely, and hands-on knowledge that you can put directly to practical use. I would also recommend that you visit their website and check out the webinars cds they have for sale-very awesome information dissimination. Knowledgeable and worth the buy
The media could not be loaded. I'm having issues with school regarding our special needs son. Just started reading this and can't wait to put it to use. Book has lots of info on IEPs and even real life questions asked by others in the same boat as me.

GReat Resource for Selecting Appropriate goals for a Child’s Individualized Education Plan
Being a special education teacher I find this book a very helpful resource for parents who are struggling to understand what IEP goals are and how to select the appropriate goals for their development. This book takes the guess work out of understanding special education and how providing accommodations for a child with special needs.

Absolutely Necessary Guide for Parents
I have a Parent Advocacy Support Group and worked as a Special Education advocate for a time. This book is priceless. I wish I had had a copy of this book to give the families I worked with. I would recommend this book to any family of a child utilizing special education services. It answers, clearly and in easy to understand language, most of the most frequently asked questions parents have. It's well worth the cost. My copy is highlighted throughout and I'm making it available to my support group to borrow.

Must have for any parent w/kids that have IEP's in place!!
This book is a must have for any parent with a child(ren) with an IEP. Even though my sister is a spec ed teacher/evaluator with +42 yrs exp specializing in Autism, Downs & ADHD, she isn't always available & lives out of state. This book has helped me through many IEP meetings at school as we have 2 spec needs kids w/IEP's. Very helpful, especially when school tries to get around the legalities of IEP's. I guarantee when you walk into an IEP mtg w/this book in hand, you will be well informed!!!
