Brake Bleed Kit for SHIMANO, TEKTRO Hydraulic Disc Brakes, Including High Performance Mineral Brake Fluid (120ml)

My Tektro brakes were mushy after fixing a flat. After checking a few videos, I realized I probably had gotten some air in the system while taking the rear wheel off and changing the tube.This system was perfect. Multiple adapters that fit the mineral oil opening without leaking. I topped off the fluid and sealed the system without spilling a drop of oil.Now, the brakes are solid and work as expected.Worth the money.

As good as the Shimano or Park product in core usefulness. Perfect for the home mechanic for quarterly to bi yearly bleeds. Will certainly work for any frequency but if you're doing more buy the pro system...its just easier.

First experience bleeding hydraulic bicycle brakes and this kit made it easy to do. Included all of the correct fittings for the Tektro brakes on my friends bike. Watched a YouTube video beforehand to be familiar with the steps to take for bleeding the brakes. Only disappointment was one of the syringes was broken so if I would need to bleed them again I will have to get one. Good kit and did the job!

Kit comes with universal adapters for each bleed hole (caliper and handle) . Fill process is best done via fluid gravity cup on brake handle and an empty syringe on the caliper to vacuum pull the fluid through the system.Maintenence bleeds and minor top-off fills are easiest (for me anyway) by pushing fluid into the system from the brake handle port via a bubble-free, full syringe, and fully plunged empty syringe on the caliper. Bubbles and old fluid are vacuum captured by the empty caliper syringe.There are enough parts and fluid in the kit to experiment with, and this kit should work well for most common bicycle and electric scooter hydraulic brake systems.

Used to bleed front and rear Shimano XT brakes.PRO:Easy to follow instructions.All tools needed are supplied, this includes tools to remove the bleeding screws and bolts from the calipers. Open spanned tool has 8 and 7 and Allen wrench is a T10.Has all the needed adaptors, tubes, tube clamps, bleed funnel, gloves, two syringes and two 2 FL. OZ bottles of mineral oil. Also included are piston blocks.Enough to bleed front and rear brakes two times. I used one bottle and one syringe doing both brakes.Great price point. Would recommend.CON:Nothing to report here but will list a few items, which again is nothing bad.I used my own tools (8mm box end wrench and T10 nut driver) as I could get a better “bite” using them.Syringes are marked as single use. I guess you can reuse them but it is not recommended.

Why did you pick this product vs others?:Several people making repair videos suggested this kit specifically. I skpped past any kits that said they didn't have the adapters for a Lectric XP 3 and ended up this one. This one doesn't have the adapters either. So by itself it's useless if you're doing the brakes on a Lectric.Since kits were cheap I also bought another type and between the two I was able to get the job done (using a syringe instead of the reservoir). So if you're working on a Lectric, get two.

This kit was purchased to 'burp' the hydraulic brakes on my Ebike. This kit is adaptable to almost any system via it's many adapters. The adapters fit nicely with zero mineral oil loss, and no mess on my handlebars. The kit was all inclusive, having every thing needed to complete the job. It also had an ample supply of everything to complete another burp or brake bleed in the future. It's a permanent addition to my tool box, and makes brake maintenance a lot easier.
