We ordered this crate after looking through a lot of options and reading reviews. Our 30lb mini Aussie rescue loves going into a crate to feel safe in his own space. This is a well made and easy to out together product. It went much quicker for us because my husband used his drill for the screws. It looks amazing. Our home is small so having a crate that matches and blends into the decor is great! Worth the money. The top piece is really well made and nice.That being said, the weight guide isn’t quite accurate. We ordered the large and our 30lb dog fits in there but I can’t imagina a taller 60lb dog fitting comfortably. I also don’t know how strong this crate actually is. It’s perfect for us because of the look and the fact that we are leaving both side the barn door and the front hinge door open so he can go in and out freely. Not sure how strong it would be with a larger stronger dog trying to escape.But for our Murphy it’s the perfect little Zen Den.

I was worried at first as the box it came in was damaged on one corner and had been reinforced with tape by someone. I was in luck as the kennel was not damaged when I opened the box. I saw one very minor bad spot on the bottom piece on one corner, but since it was on the bottom and on the back side it all worked out just fine. It probably took me somewhere around 1 1/2 hours to assemble the kennel. I liked the way it went together. There was always extra screws and dowels in case you lost one. I bought the larger kennel even though I have a shipoo because I wanted extra space for her bed and toys. She is quite spoiled. For sure as we were moving from the play pen to the kennel which cut her play area in half. The kennel seems to be very sturdy and does look good. The only issue that I had was that the bottom center support (foot) did not allow the screws to screw into the bottom piece. Needed longer screws for just that piece, so I just ream out the screw hole so the two screws would penetrate the need extra 1/4” so it could mount properly. If it had not been for that I would have really had no issues with the assembly process.

This is a great kennel for our Cardigan corgi. He has lots of room to flop around, and I like that it’s elevated because there’s a vent under it on the floor and I can use an airflow redirector. Lots of great features, solid construction, good assembly instructions. I am glad we got the Midwest slide out tray in addition to the kennel.But my dog chews. He chewed on both sides as shown in my pics and I didn’t want to get rid of this expensive thing or have it fall apart, so I used mending plates (Lowe’s, HD for a few bucks) to reinforce the spots and prevent him from chewing again. I used two plates per trouble spot, one outside and one inside. I drilled through with a sharp bit, starting very small because the MDF wants to chip if you try and just punch through with a larger bit. I used long bolts on these for two reasons - to ensure that if a nut became loose it would stay and rattle and not just fall off, and also to make it even harder for pup to try chewing the metal. If he tries a chomp there now, he gets a blunt poke in the snoot.This has been a good solution for us. It’s an expensive crate and beautiful, and a few flat silver plates don’t stand out much. You could paint them.

This is a very sturdy crate. It looks nice in our house and our puppy loves it too! Many compliments from our friends as well! Easy to assemble. Latches are great! Love the little barn door!

I just want to say on behalf of the maker. This was a very cute idea and it is perfect for small calm dogs or even any layed back kind of breed which was specified . So the only reason I'm returning is because the holes were not in proper place. I highly doubt they are all defected. Just been my luck lately. It's not gonna work for the new rescue it was intended for but my small breed love it and so do I. I just dont have the time to fix the issue . Too much on my plate. Had to order a different one. But for those of you interested. As you can see by my photos how adorable it really is. And its plenty sturdy for trained and well behaved dogs and I think it's the cutest one available. Also I've built my own . I have a 6ft by 3 ft built. Much heavier but I need to specify for those who dont build. You cant buy the material that this has and have it looking this cute for any less than these makers have put out. Ive already done the math. If I didnt have too much going on I'd just fix this myself and pull off the piece and replace it but I dont have time. So please if you are interested in this one. And your dog isnt a bear or growing into one 😂 I think you should buy it. Mabe when I turn this in someone can buy this one for a lower price over a small fix. Im just overwhelmed and I need things to go smooth . If I had the time I'd just keep this one even over building another like it. Ok so I hope this helps. It is well planned. Lack of written instructions. Least on mine but I'm sure you can figure it out. I truly love love love it. And sad that I have to send it back. I'd ask for a discount but they dont do that.If I could get a break for the random imperfection, I'd keep it in a heart beat. In fact I'm praying that something changes before I can send it back. Lol but I'm an honest person and I do not want to bash the Maker of this adorable crate. It was a super cute and convenient idea. I'm sure the price will rise on these before I can get another . So this is on a promotional sale. Im thinking they wont be on this sale for long. Just sayin. Good luck.Oh this puppy in the photo is an 8 week old pit bull mix who is also teething. ( i had to keep him out so he would not chew the wood. It is mostly Holy wood but sturdy. Hardware all good and all there even extra and the top is beautuful. Very heavy nice looking and makes the crate look like a solid pretty piece for any kind of room 😊❤.That's the truth and again. Do look at the photos. It looks even better in person. One last thing . This pup even if he got to 40 lbs and stopped . Would fit just fine but he is gonna need stronger. And I like to leave extra room for mine. I'm a good momma 😂😎😁I'm thinking that this randomly happened to me for a good purpose because I dont need this one . I really just want it for extra and looks. 😉
