Nature's Miracle Advanced Platinum Cat Scratch Deterrent Spray, 8 Ounces, Discourages Destructive Scratching

I have the world’s scratchiest cat. Love her to death but she and I moved in with my partner and kitty went about destroying the fabric dining room chairs and my partner’s favorite living room chair. Can’t believe it took me months to think of looking for a spray. I sprayed all the scratched surfaces (does smell nice and the smell fades quickly) and the result was instant—no more scratching AT ALL (though she still sits on the chairs, which is good). After 10 days I saw her scratch once, so sprayed everything again. I think the bottle will last for months at this rate—a good deal for 8 bucks. I get that it doesn’t work for all cats, which is a bummer. Definitely thought it wouldn’t work for us, but it seems we got lucky. Wish they made a spray for begging at the dinner table like a damn dog ;-)

It's a gimmick. Save your money. It does not work! I have 2, four-year old cats. It worked for the first 20 minutes. I think they did not like that I was spraying a liquid of any sort. It did not deter them from scratching the new couch. I sprayed the couch lightly, then heavily. Nothing worked.

One of my cats have decided to start a rat hunt at the carpet on the steps of our new townhome that we rent. I can’t say for certain that this spray is working to stop her from scratching. I love reapplied the spray consistently but it hasn’t seemed to deter her. It may work for other kitties though. I will say that we like the scent. It is a bit strong but if you enjoy essential oils, you’d probably also like the scent. It makes our hole house smell fresh after it’s applied. The spray is more of a stream - I personally wish it was more of a mist. The stream makes it a bit more difficult to apply depending on the application site. It didn’t discolor our carpet, and it seems safe to use on different types of surfaces. I do recommend spot testing though. We will probably continue to use it in the hopes that it may eventually deter her scratching!

My female cat is a rescue so I’m not sure of her exact age but she’s definitely an old lady who loves to destroy things like my furniture. I recently remodeled my house and purchased all new furniture and I was not about to let her destroy any of it. This stuff works miracles, even on an old lady like Fiona Louise! I spray it everywhere daily before I leave for work and I leave the bottle out where she can see it and she has yet to even get near any of my new furniture. It’s gotten to where I just show her the bottle and she scurries away. I do provide scratching posts and cat nip as a distraction which I’m sure helps but I do think this stuff is the main reason she’s no longer scratching on my furniture. It also seems to have stopped my male dogs from lifting a leg in my house as well. It is safe to use on furniture and high end floors. The fragrance is potent but that’s the point to this spray anyway. I highly recommend this stuff!

This product works as advertised: my cats no longer scratch the furniture that I spray this on. It has not stained any of the variety of fabrics that I have used it on. It leaves behind a pleasant scent.However, the amount of sprays that it takes to coat the furniture does deplete the bottle quickly. I have found that I have to spray the furniture approximately two times a week in order for it to remain effective. It's only been a few weeks and my bottle is almost empty! I have decided that it is still worth it, overall, as this spray is much cheaper than getting the furniture reupholstered.

This does not work. I appreciate that it did not stain the furniture, but it also did not stop the cat from scratching the furniture.

My cats used to scratch a lot on the corner of my sofa. I spray this on it every few weeks and it seems to keep them from scratching on the sofa. I also paired that with putting a good scratching post near the sofa.

This product saved my new Ashley Furnitiure couch from 3 lovely playful cats.
