I've had several no-name, vent-mount and CD-mount holders, and they've always seemed a bit flimsy. One even pinged a clip inside the air vent, never to be seen again.Brodit holders have been my choice for many years now. Yes, they're expensive, but you get what you pay for.First, you need an adapter plate - there's one for just about every car, usually with 2 or 3 different locations. Then you need a holder. There are many types of custom holders to suit different phones which screw into the adapter plate. I've always gone for the unpowered holders, and this "universal" holder fits my current phone in it's case. It's adjustable, so it should be able to accommodate a different phone, and if I change my car, I can take it with me.I wouldn't use anything else now.

A great idea. Once tightened up it doesn't work loose and can be adjusted to fit within the range it states. Note there are different versions so make sure your device's dimensions fall between those stated.The base of the side runners tapers in so once you have adjusted it to fit the width of your device, the device slides into it and stops at the bottom. This provides a confident hold.If like me, your last few devices have been very similar in width, this should help keep costs down by not having to keep swapping the holder out.Also, if you are concerned that this is not the 'active' version with built in power, you will probably find that most recent devices have a much improved battery life and you do not require constant power to keep GPS and maps all working on a journey like you might of in the 'old days'.Of course, you can still pop a normal charging cable in should the battery get low.

I bought this for my Blackberry Motion handset as there was not a specific holder available. The holder fits the phone well but can become dislodged from the car windscreen pillar itself as the fixing edges are quite thin. Could do with more pronounced fixings to secure the holder better

This holds my Samsung S21 Ultra in its official silicon case. I adjusted the screws to set the width to allow just enough room for easy insertion and removal. There's a tiny bit of front-to-back play - as this depth can't be adjusted - but it's minimal and the phone is operable in situ and will not fall out. The only real negative is price: £30 for a bit of plastic and a few screws is a bit steep in this day and age.

Brodit holders are fantastic quality and the only ones I use due to their sturdiness.

Ce support passif de téléphone fonctionne évidemment avec la fixation de voiture correspondante qu'il faut acheter L'ensemble est parfait du point de vue de l'esthétique, de la mobilité, de la solidité pour ce qui est de mon véhicule. Il faut y ajouter l'adaptabilité (support universel) Pour les infos, il est préférable de consulter également le site smartroute et le site brodit suédois en anglais. L'ensemble est cher mais on en a pour son argent.

Los he comprado para mi trabajo, compré en su día los específicos de Galaxy Note 2, con cargador y fantásticos, no obstante comentar si son para darles mucha guerra (en nuestro caso los quitamos y colocamos continuamente), que mejor comprarlos sin carga, porque cuando se fastidia el cable es un rollo.Posteriormente compré el universal sin carga y son los mejores soportes que he visto, no es fácil que se aflojen con la vibración del vehículo y si miras las dimensiones del smartphone y las del soporte, no tienes que tener ningún problema, pero HAY QUE MIRAR LAS ESPECIFICACIONES DEL ANCHO QUE SOPORTAN!!!!Repito, lo de que incluya el cable de carga, es una chorrada, sólo aumenta el coste y a medio largo plazo los cables o clavijas se fastidian y no es factible adaptar otro cable al soporte.Muy recomendables.

Habe mir diesen Halter zusammen mit der ProClip Halterung für den Toyota Auris bestellt. Wurde nach 2 Tagen dank Prime gesendet. Der Zusammenbau und die Installation im Fahrzeug war ein Kinderspiel. Die Transport Verpackung empfand ich als zu groß. Der Universal Halter ist perfekt für mein Honor 5X. Da ich schon diverse Halter für die Windschutzscheibe, Lüftungsdüsen und CD Schlitz ausprobiert habe, bin ich zu dem Entschluss gekommen mal ein paar Euro mehr auszugeben. Und was soll ich sagen: Es hat sich gelohnt. Ich benutze ein Honor 5X als Smartphone, das ist 5,5 Zoll groß, mit Bumper. Ich habe den Halter ganz zusammen gedrückt und Arretiert. Dann passt mein Telefon perfekt hinein. Was ich damit sagen will ist folgendes: Achtet beim Kauf auf die Breite eures Telefons. Ein Samsung Galaxy S4, oder ein Axon 7 Mini zum Beispiel passen nicht hinein. Die fallen durch. Da sollte man die kleiner Version vom Halter bestellen. Dank des Kugelgelenk kann ich mir das Telefon perfekt zu mir hindrehen, so das ich die Navigation vom Telefon perfekt ablesen kann. Positiver Nebeneffekt ist, ich kann das Telefon dank der Halterung auch fast vom Lenkrad aus bedienen, was nach STVO allerdings nicht erlaubt ist. Sinn und Unsinn dieses Gesetzes will ich hier nicht weiter erörtern, nur soviel : Essen und trinken während der Fahrt und gleichzeitiges Bedienen eines Navigationsgerät ist nicht verboten. Der Halter sitzt stramm und absolut Vibrationsfrei am Armaturenbrett. Sieht Optisch aus wie Original und passt perfekt. Der Hersteller dieses Artikels macht sich wirklich Gedanken. Der hohe Preis scheint mir daher gerechtfertigt. Im übrigen sind die Anschlüsse vom Telefon alle ohne Einschränkung erreichbar. Das Telefon wird von oben in die Halterung geschoben und auch wieder so entfernt. Es braucht keinen Knopf oder Hebel um das Telefon zu befestigen oder zu lösen. Ich bin von dieser Halterung absolut positiv begeistert. Im übrigen habe ich mich zu dieser Universal Halterung entschieden, da man sein Telefon in der Regel alle 2 Jahre wechselt. Und da ich mir bestimmt kein kleineres Smartphone mehr holen werde, glaube ich, das ich mein Geld gut für die Zukunft angelegt habe.
