Electric Lighter, Outdoor Waterproof Rechargeable Cool USB Windproof Plasma Arc Lighters

It feels like the end of an era, for nearly fifty years I have used a succession of trusted Zippos but when I retired one recently I looked to see what was available and stumbled on this. Looks smart but don't waste time looking for the instructions because there aren't any. Simple to use - plug in, top up charge and use. Advantages - no need to worry about a constant supply of fuel, flints or wicks and you can light cigars with this (technically you can light a cigar with a petrol lighter but I don't recommend it). Disadvantages - well we'll see if it still looks so smart after a year of being scuffed about in my pockets. Will the plastic casing hold out against the occasional rough handling my previous lighters did? Only time and use will tell but it isn't an enormous price to pay if it works well for a while so well worth it.

This came in a nice presentation box, which is fine if you're intending to give this as a gift but seems a bit superfluous otherwise. In order to use it, notwithstanding fully charging it via the supplied USB cable (but no 3-pin or 2-pin plug supplied), you have to release a catch, then press the side switch so the top opens. This seems a bit of a faff. I pressed the ON button 4 or 5 times just to test that the arc was working - but then after only using it one more time to actually light a cigarillo, it stopped working! The lights come on, showing it is fully charged, but no arc. Now on its way back to Amazon for a full refund.UPDATE: I might have just ended up with a duff, but obviously I can only comment on my personal experience. The unit itself is not a reflection on the seller, who has kindly offered to make things right.

Bei diesem Feuerzeug werden zwei sich kreuzende Lichtbögenerzeugt, die in der Lage sind, in Mikrosekunden eine Zigarette anzuzünden.Im Grunde genommen ist das Plasma - ich war so blöd, und habe aus Neugier malden Finger auf die Lichtbögen gehalten und kann nur sagen: Nicht nachmachen!Ich habe mich nicht verbrannt, sondern heftigst eine geschossen bekommen.Das Ding ist faszinierend und auch noch extrem stylisch designt.Um das Feuerzeug zu starten öffnet man per Knopfdruck an der Seite den Deckeldes Acrylgehäuses. Dann betätigt man innerhalb eines Zeitfensters von ca. 5 Se-kunden den Auslöser und die Lichtbögen entstehen.Der Betriebsstatus wird über 4 verschiedenfarbige LEDs angezeigt, ebenso derAkkufüllstand. Das Laden erfolgt per USB-C. Ein Kabel ist in der ansehnlichen Ge-schenkbox enthalten. Dort findet man auch ein Nylonband, an dem das Gadget be-festigt werden kann. Ein Netzteil ist aber nicht Teil des Sets.Schauen Sie sich die Bilder an, denn die sagen mehr als Worte. Das ist wirklich inno-vativ und originell.Eine Akkuladung reicht übrigens für ca. 60 Auslösungen. Laut Anleitung hält der AkkuCa. 500 Ladezyklen aus.Dass dieses Feuerzeug für nur ca. 10,00 Euro zu haben ist, finde ich sensationell. Dennes ist auch sehr hochwertig verarbeitet. Volle Empfehlung zum Selber benutzen undauch zum Verschenken - nur besser nicht für Kinder. 5 Sterne!
