Challenging and Fun
I collect Lego construction vehicles. This is my first Mould King purchase. This set was well worth the money and gave me a decent challenge. Obviously it’s not as high quality as Lego, but it’s definitely better than I anticipated. I’d give the quality an 8/10. No missing pieces! A few steps in the instructions were difficult to understand/follow, but with a little patience I was able to figure it out. The bags are numbered so you only open the bags for the section you’re working on. Once completed, it is fully remote controlled, and is fun to play with. It has decent power. Rechargeable batteries are included, so there’s nothing else to buy. Only con is you get one remote for two control units. You have to turn one off and the other on to switch between them. It’s not that bad though as one controls movement while the other controls the buckets and “hydraulics”. The control boxes are easily accessible on the completed model. Getting a second remote controller would make this better though. I would definitely recommend this set to anyone that enjoys the construction vehicles put out by Lego or Mould King.

Great kit
This kit is absolutely nuts. The main frame of the build has so much going. This thing is a really good size. It’s big so don’t shy from the price. All the functions work as they should. It was a lot of fun building this model. I really like Mould King models. They go where Lego won’t and if they go where Lego has they do it better. I have a ton of Mould King models and this is the first kit I did have an issue on. I had a motor work until it was built then it stopped. I contacted the company got a response in 4 hours the next day they sent a replacement and I got it really quickly like less than a week from china. The customer service is great from this company. I would highly recommend this kit. Especially if you like a lot of gears and cool mechanisms operating a ton of functions on one model.

Just as fun to build as lego. Well designed. Really works!
For the price, you cant beat it IF all you care about is building something for the fun of building it. The electric functions all actually work. It steers, drives, fully articulates the loading arms, etc. BUT, the parts seem less durable than lego and some mechanisms are somewhat poorly designed so gears will slip off the drive mechanism while driving and the arm mechanism will come apart when attempting to lift things sometimes. If you want to actually dig and drive like those german RC construction clubs on youtube- this is NOT it. Not strong enough to really dig, and not robust enough to drive reliably. But you aren’t really going to play with it anyway, are you. You’re going to spend hours drinking and building it for your birthday, and enjoy seeing the way it works for a bit before giving it to your kids or putting it on a shelf. It was absolutely worth it as a birthday gift to myself. And I will buy other models from them with no regrets.

Awesome
Awesome build. Very technical. Must pay close attention to detail. Looks great. Functions great. All motors work. No missing parts. Very much enjoyed putting it together.

Do not buy
I bought this set 17036 knowing it’s not legos and that the directions will be complicated to read but usually by the end of the build I am satisfied with the challenge and it will work like any other set that isn’t legos that I have put together. I am very disappointed with this product. This was purchased for my son and going in I knew it would be too complex for him. Let’s just say this design that they claim is be professionals is a joke. My steering motor died during testing. Ok I’ll just order a new motor. Build the set and test the set up. The steering motor works in reverse. It’s not the motor, it was the placement of gears and design as to why it doesn’t work. I have also ran into issues with the front bucket. If it’s down, you can’t turn or steer the wheels and finally the back hoe system has to much flex, not enough integrity and either the gear comes off the drive for the actuator or even better the entire end of the arm can come off. It’s pretty to look at and make it perform some of its functions but you have to physically turn on and off different power modules to play with it unless you have the app. Ok I’ll get the app. What’s the app called? I will scan this qr code, it’s all in Chinese's can’t make heads or tails of what the app is called or any directions yet the advertising video shows it working. Very disappointed. I would have bought a real RC instead with what I paid. I tried and I’ll never buy from this brand again. Do the same

Fun, but Not Perfect
The media could not be loaded. The good:It looks like a backhoe and drives around drives really well. The excavator arm works 3 joints work.It was fun to build and about the right difficulty level. My 8 year old son built most of this by himself with some help with gear sections. The bad:The front loader falls off. The friction is simply not there to hole this on. The weight is too heavy. We ended up using some Lego glue, but it still falls off every sonoften This makes it hard to use.The stablizers are not strong enough the lift the back. They work when the excavator arm is off, but once the arm is there, it's too heavy for stabilizers to lift the wheels off the ground. The front wheel needs alignment adjusted frequently. Every so often the wheels get stuck pointing to the left after turning. Can move it back to center, but it distracts from the playing.1 controller 2 battery packs. Have to turn on off the parts you want to control. It's awkward, but not a show stopper, could use a second controller to make more seemless.Overall, it's worth the money even if not fully functional. It would be nice to clean up these short comings, as they are minor details, but they do add up. Recommend if you go in knowing it's not perfect.I don't know how this got generic 5 star reviews and a single "bad" review, none of which represent my experience, so I hope this one helps expand on those details.
