I made a barn door out of a standard solid core door I got from Lowes, but it's a little thicker than a standard cheapo bedroom door. The screws/bolts that come with this are not designed for anything more than 1" - which is weird for a barn door.PROS:Super easy to install - 1. line up your marks 2. drill holes 3. get screws through to the other side 4. attach the other sides handle. So easy.HUGE Tip that any person who does DIY will know, but any newbie might not know - you must must must make sure you drill your hole straight through - level. Dont come in at an any kind of angle, which is easy to do on a heavy door. You need everything to line up perfectly on the other side - so have that in mind when your drilling.CONS:My door is standard door size, but not a cheapo little bedroom door - so when i got the bolts through, only 1/6 of an inch was available to attach the handle to on the other side.If it weren't for screw length I would give it 5 stars easy, but I think barn doors are normally thicker than your average cheap bedroom door.

Start with a small drill bit (1/8”) then finish with a bit slightly LARGER than the screw to allow for leveling adjustments. Don’t worry about the larger hole showing because the plate and handle will easily cover them.

Most barn doors have at least a 3/4" or more trim around the wood door for strengthening and cosmetics. This makes the door 1.5-2" thick. The provided bolts will not work here.The provided screws are only able to be used on 1" or less total thickness of door.Good luck trying to find color matched bolts or screws, and even more important, beveled concave heads that fit into the flat door handle side.Also, supplied bolts only screw into the pull-handle 1", so there is not much room to find screws longer then you need. Remember, screws and bolts usually only come in even-inch and half-inch increments.Heavy feel and weight. Nice quality. Only wish you did not have to make a trip to the box stores to try and find longerbolts....Update 1-12-2019----You will need M8 1.25 x what ever length you need (80 m.m. for 1 3/4" to 2" door)The handle section that has the taped threads for the bolts, one side came loose and started to just spin around from the handle. I tightened it up on the door and it is positioned correctly now. Hope it stays on the handle.Home Depot had the bolts, but only in stainless steel. You will need to use a magic marker to color the heads after install.

As with most things made in China, it took a bit of creative mechanical adjustment to get it to fit properly. But love it.

Handle was a great finishing touch to my sliding barn door. Very easy to install and looks great! Very pleased with my purchase.

Really nice handle for the money. Simple, but that’s what I wanted - mounted on a barn style door. Seems very sturdy. Have used for probably 2-3 months with no issues.

Easy to install and is a high quality product

Great handle for cost, easy to install only 2 holes to drill. Template from manu would have been helpful but still only 2 holes. Size of handle and plate allowed for drilling oversized holes to ensure install was plumb and square. Highly recommend for barn style doors.

I love the handle but it had a deep scratch in the side of it when it arrived and there was no replacements available at the time so I had to keep it and install it anyway.

Product was as advertised and installation was fairly basic. However, the "diagram" installation instruction sheet did not have any measurements between the handles or the size of bit required to make the screw holes; it would have simplified and sped up the installation. But other than that, product was of great quality for the price!

Love this handle! It is solid and sturdy. Took my husband less than 15 mins to install. Great for the money!
