READ THE INSTRUCTIONS!!! Single Star Reviews May Have Missed That Minor Detail.
After reading the worst reviews first, I almost passed these bulbs by. After reading further, it became perfectly clear that, for these LEDs bulbs to work correctly, to not blow up, not fizzle, snap, crackle, or pop, the fluorescent ballast in the fixture MUST BE BYPASSED or REMOVED. If one tries to simply swap, plug, and play, standby for an epic fail.My fixture had two bulbs, thus four red wires and four blue wires from the ballast. Removed the bulb enclosure, cut the wires as close to the ballast as possible to achieve maximum wire lengths, twisted them together, used a pair of (not supplied) wire nuts to join everything, put the enclosure back in the fixture, and VOILA...Houston, we have lights; bright 6000k lights. What a tremendous improvement over the former wimpy CFL bulbs.READ THE INSTRUCTIONS !!!!!!!!!!!(Please note the picture is very bright even though the camera was set at near minimum exposure. That's a good thing.)
