great to have on hand
bought for my arthritis knee to use after I walk. Also used for grandson's Osgood Schlatter after he has sports practice. I keep some in my car, his mom's car and will be taking some on my upcoming trip to ice knee after my walking stint from the day. Size is perfect for the knee area and smaller joints. Easy to activate and works very well. Don't really need to time the 15-20 minutes as when it slowly loses the coldness, its about that time frame anyway, but I still leave it on because it feels good. If you want to ice down let's say your thigh, a bigger size will probable be better. Would definitely buy again as my supply dwindles down.

Great to have!
Excellent travel ice packs! My kid bumped his head at the park and I wish this with me. It's easy to pop and the bag stays cold for 10-15 mins easy. I have a few in my backpack and in my car.

Note minor flaw, challenging to use
These packs work well, but there is a minor flaw with the product. The amount of air in the pack is too much. Although this may serve as a protection from accidentally activating the cold pack. It makes it difficult to activate the cold pack when you want to. Additionally the additional air in the pack acts as a insulator and makes it hard to apply the cold to the intended areas. The additional air prevents the internal components from being pressed against the intended area and thus separates the cold from the intended surface.

They work!
These things are great whether injured, muscle aches, or hot flashing. They really work and stay cold awhile.

These ice packs saved the day after my Hamstring injury!
I used the ice packs when I traveled, to ease the pain of my hamstring injury! I took one in my carry-on to use on the plane! I put extras in my luggage for later. (Check with your airline for limitations on how many are permitted in your luggage!) Each lasted about 20-30 minutes but coolness lessened with time.

Extremely hard to break the seal
They work great once you can get them to break the seal to get cold. Have a very hard time getting the seal to break. It actually hurts my hand. It can take me like four minutes to finally get it cold.

Pretty reasonable performance - use good force to activate the pack
I coach soccer and want to keep these handy for short term relieve in case of a child injury.I followed the directions, folded it over, and pressed until it felt like I broke something on the inside, as described. It didn't seem to be getting cold, so I punched the bag. No kidding, I was surprised how quickly it became cold. It was arguably instant. Make sure that you use gravity to your advantage and have the area you want to be kept cold below the pack. The liquid inside obvisouly is at the bottom of the pack.I'd disregard the advice on the pack saying "wrap it in a cloth". That said, it was 78F here when I tested it and the surface temp of the pack when I measured with a digital thermometer was 58F.Overall, pretty good performance for a chemical reaction cold back and better than the last one I tried.
