Good quality
I felt the need to write a review for this bed because of all the negative reviews I read on here before I purchased one.The bed is made of good quality wood. I’m no carpenter, but I felt it was well made and once assembled, I have a very happy son who loves it.There are some negatives. The box was damaged when it arrived, but nothing was damaged inside the box.If you are expecting Ikea instructions, you won’t get it. You do need to read them a couple of times before you understand. Having said that I managed to make it on my own with only little help from a 10 year old boy. But it did take all day. I didn’t have any issues with holes not lining up. I did have some bolts missing, but after contacting the company through Amazon, I had a very quick and polite response with an apology from them and they posted the bolts. I’m sure I had them the next day if not the day after. The bolts were only for attaching the ladder to the frame and so we could use the bed with no problem whilst waiting for them.Because of the design of the bed (not a bunk bed) it does mean it is wobbly. So it will need fixing to the wall, which I haven’t done yet. But my son is using it with no issues at the moment. So overall we are very happy with it. I hope the review is helpful.

It’s ok but leaves me nervous
Good pointsPrice is goodSmall double bed which is great for loft bedGood clearance under the bed for toysFrees up floor spaceCan be painted easilyBad pointsIt wobbles… ALOTThe instructions were ATROCIOUS. They may well have not put any in.The wood is quite softIt doesn’t feel sturdyMOST IMPORTANTLY… last night the step ladder just snapped as was climbing! This lead to some injuries. We are now reinforcing the steps with brackets under every step to make it safer for my daughter. The sides are not that high… I am planning on cladding it with wood to give more stability and to also make it a bit saferThe step ladder instructions were just pointless. It isn’t clear how they want you to attach the steps to the bed other than the brackets to hang it over the edge… there is a bit of wood they suggest you put somewhere but no idea what to do with it or where to put it!The side wood panel end where the step ladder goes does not feel secure. The edge is just left floating it feels with only the one baton to attach to all pieces of wood.In summary…. I’d recommend the bed… only if you have a lot of time on your hands and a small team of you to do it and also if you are going to reinforce the structure as it isn’t safe the way it is sold.

Good quality
Good quality, nice and sturdy. However we added brackets to attach to wall for extra sturdiness. My daughter found the ladder a little steep, so we ordered and attached the slanted ladder, which is perfect.

It's ok
Bed is super wobbly once built. Need at least 3 people to build it.

Life is too short to spend it wrestling with this bed
The positives: this is a decent, sturdy product once it’s built. Whoever designed it obviously knows how to make a decent quality piece of furniture. The negatives: sadly, their ability to design a user friendly flat-pack product falls far short of reasonable expectation. The experience of building it was honestly the worst product assembly experience either of us have ever had, and we have built a LOT of flat packs over the years. At one stage we were getting nowhere so I emailed customer service for support, and received a fairly snide email back saying we must be trying to put parts in the wrong holes (we weren’t) because it couldn’t possibly be the fault of the product. The following weekend we ended up asking a friend who is a joiner to have a look for us and he agreed it’s a badly designed flat pack. (Which is not the same as a badly designed bed). Several holes were out of line so certain parts of the bed were near impossible to fit together and are now visibly wonky. The slats were too long and needed sanding down at the ends to fit in place. Two pieces of wood arrived extremely badly warped and we fear they will split in time with the amount of force we’ve had to apply to bend them into place. One piece of wood was missing all together which we realised towards the end, but we were so desperate to get our child (who has been sleeping on a mattress for two weeks) into a bed that it was quicker to pay a wood merchant to replace it than wait around for a replacement; I also was so unimpressed with their customer service that I had no wish to contact them again.Perhaps we got a dodgy product and the rest from this company are fine - I will never know as we will never be buying another, and couldn’t in earnest recommend it to anybody else.
