I normally wear a 4X, wanted this to be a bit roomier so I bought the 5X. It's not roomy enough in the body. Sleeves are fine, length is fine, across the shoulders is fine. Just a bit tight when zipped up. Have always liked wearing this style of jacket, had one for many years.

This jacket Rocks. I drive a lot, this jacket s comfortable. In -9 degrees with a wind chill od -25 I was good.

First, for the price, it is good if just wearing for fashion not function.So I just received this jacket and I have the real Alpha Industries version. The difference, this MA-1 has no elasticity at all around the waist. Just drapes open allowing wind up your belly since it doesn’t hug in like it is supposed to. It is as if there is no elastic nor way to cinch it around the waist. Note, my waist is defininately smaller than my chest, I am not fat. If you have any beer guy I bet the updraft very severe. So this won’t keep you warm at all if it is windy. If they could fix the waist, it would be nice. The polyester down fill is warm enough, but no good at all if the factory in China puts no elastic in the waist. But right now, the lack of any waist elasticity is a major defect.Also, I thought these came new? My coat came w paper receipts n garbage in one pocket and 4 women’s used Bobby hair pins in the other. Will return.For a reanactor or just fashion for the price okay coat. Quality is same as Mil-Tec. But does not compare at all to my real Alpha Industries one, ie the one who makes them for the military. They have them on Amazon, though 2x the cost of this one.

Definitely order a size up!! I'm normally a 2X-3X, so I ordered the 4X after seeing the reviews. It's snug around my middle, but super loose in the shoulders. The sleeves are also really long, so a lot of the looseness comes from having to push them up. I bought it for a TJ Detweiler costume, but I'll probably use it as it gets closer to winter because it's by far the warmest jacket I own. Also, it's reversible with that orange color you can see, so if I'm ever lost at sea or something they'd definitely be able to see me (Get it? To SEA me? okay). There are a bunch of pockets and the material is gonna hold up well in the rain. If it fit better in the shoulders/sleeves this would be my new favorite jacket. End of the day: it's great if you're trying to survive the Hunger Games, but be prepared to sound like you're wearing a snowsuit every time you move an arm.

Being retired military and at one time a flight crew member, I was completely taken by surprise with this jacket. If it had my USAF insignias on it I would have thought I was still in the service. This is 90% authentic issue. It fits to a "T" and is of excellent quality. Several other reviews had mentioned a problem with sizing, but I found it to be exactly right. I'm 6' 3" and 200 pounds, so a bit on the hefty side. The extra large was the perfect choice. It IS sage green and not the bright green as depicted. The brass zipper is double stitched and well constructed. I couldn't have made a better choice. I've already had a chance to try it in colder than usual weather, and I stayed quite comfortable quite in 20 degrees. Plenty of well constructed pockets and of course it's reversible to reveal a bright orange, which is great for those early morning or late evening walks so vehicles can see you. You cannot find a better jacket for the price.

I look soooooo fly in this jacket! I purchased this jacket in a size large because of the reviews, but once the jacket came and I tried it on it was way too big for me. I'm not sure if the reviews were from mostly men which is why they were saying the sizes ran "small" but I'm a 5'11, 170 lbs woman that figured a large would be a good fit but boy was I wrong. LADIES, if you are going to order this jacket I would recommend getting a size smaller than you normally wear. I tried to return for a smaller size but it was honestly too complicated, so I got frustrated and just re-gifted it to my brother. It fits him like a guy would want it to fit him (I'm guessing... he likes it), not too tight, lots of wiggle room, ect. Besides the confusion with the sizing, I absolutely loved the jacket for the cheap price!

I love the jacket and the color. The only thing is that it was too short. I'm 5'10", I got the 3XL and it barely reached my waist. I usually wear a 2XL. Other than that these are great jackets.

Beefy and comfortable. Warm and fits as an XL should. Great value in a flight jacket, and I’m a military retiree, so I know!
