Why has the sand formula changed since the packaging has changed? It has become much more dusty.

I agree it is most dusty and I think my hamster who is 12 months old, got a grain in his eye and developed eye infection. He had to be PTS as antibiotics didnt work and he lost his eye. Devastated so I am not using this ever again for hamsters.

Can i use this for mice?

Please be advised that whilst this product is perfectly safe and fine to use with mice they will not have the natural instincts to use it as a dust bath in the same way that a Gerbil, Degu or Chinchilla would. Please feel assured that should you wish to place this with your mice it would cause them no harm, however they most likely won't use the sand. Best sand for hammies x

some hams love sand others not so much ,mine loves it ,will happliy sit in it etc this sand is by far the best i have found and i bought 2 bags at a reduced offer as its not cheap and dont last long once the furries have got in and marked their territory , you never have to put it in the oven to bake for all the hygeine reasons i dont as i know its good quilty very clean very good for hams guinepigs etc would defo buy again x
