Perfect fit. worked as stated.

I have a Maytag top loader and after 8 years, the machine started making a horrible sound and started to spin very slowly. Research showed that its the electrical part that went bad.I went ahead and replaced this part and the clutch assembly. Happy with the replacement.The cable that comes with it was too short and did not fit the washer. That's the reason for a 4 star rating.

My washer was making a horrible noise and not spinning. I replaced one or two of these parts, keeping some of the factory parts, and it improved, now spun but still made the noise. When I replaced all the factory parts with the ones in this kit, it fixed the problem completely. Actually I still didn't replace the belt, I've heard this belt doesn't fit. But I didn't try it. I used everything else though, and it was easy enough to put in and take out that I could do some extensive trial and error. My washer works fine again... for now.

So disappointing that Maytag clearly knows this is a faulty part but continues selling new washers with it unaddressed. The warranty wanted to charge us $500 for repair labor and it was $150 to have it diagnosed by the contacted tech they sent out- so I couldn’t address it with him.We declined the repair, ordered this part, and I (32F) watched a YouTube video and replaced it myself in about 15 minutes. It’s been working great, since.Tip: at first, I thought the bigger wheel was too small/thin for my washer, but there is a gap, where the piece slides up and down a little bit, between the bigger wheel and the washer. I decided to give it a try anyway and everything works great.

Cheap, brittle plastic. Two of the new pieces broke during the 3rd load. The washing machine squeaked loudly during the wash cycle. Upon disassembly, I found that the large plastic gear that has the metal parts inside had been badly formed, with the plastic over the top of the metal. That is where the squeak was coming from. The only good parts of the kit was the belt and the nut, none of the plastic parts were quality parts. Thankfully I was able to make a working assembly by using several of the original plastic parts, and then just disposed of several of the new plastic parts. This one was a waste of money. If you purchase this kit, you will need to also purchase silicone grease, as it is necessary for the installation, and none is supplied, and there are no instructions included to make you aware of this.

The first item I got was broken at the factory. See pic. This delayed my project, which was not ideal. But the return/replacement process was simple enough and after installing the replacement item, it worked fine. Not sure how it will hold up in the long run, but for now it is functioning well. There are some minor differences between OEM and this part. One of the OEM parts has slightly more plastic used in its design. But as far as function, they are identical and both have the same measurements where it matters (for the belt and other parts to interact with it).

Direct replacement for Whirlpool WTW5105HW2 washer. Quality parts that fit perfectly. Needed these parts to fix operational functions of washer and make it last for years to come hopefully. Crossing my fingers that I can get a few more years out of it.
