With the current, and soon to be obsolete ATSC 1.0 OTA broadcast standard, this box lets your internet received 4K programming shine through your 4K TV.... Right now, the only OTA resolutions that are transmitted under the ATSC 1.0 standard is 720 P-Progressive and 1081 I-Interlaced.... The ONLY way to receive OTA 4K programming is with an ATSC 3.0 specification tuner that is only being offered in the "NextGen" TVs that are still not in widespread production. My Roku LT model has performed beyond expectations with fast program loading and overall great performance. There are TONS of free channels with most of the good old shows being displayed in near perfect clarity. My installation used a Ethernet switch to provide a hardwired connection to the Roku box. I knew that a WiFi setup that this box is also capable of would not give me the very best video due to bandwidth limitations and when at all possible I only use a CAT 5E or higher rated cable to connect all my equipment. I do not like that most of today's remotes use internal rechargeable batteries that, effectively, make a remote a throw-a-way item when the rechargeable batteries no longer can hold a charge. I bought this model specifically for the two AA batteries that you CAN change and for the headphone jack that works well for us "hearing impaired" old folks ;-) Overall I find that THIS "LT" model does ALL that is needed for viewing a great program or movie...

My cable service advised me that my TV was too old for streaming so I ordered this unit. I needed a streamer with both Ethernet and HDMI to work with my TV and this model has both. It was easy to set up and it works great. Excellent quality streaming with no buffering issues.

Excellent product and price

I've heard the saying before, "I LOVE my Roku" but never understood why until I tried this streaming service. I avoid wireless devices and rely on wired to avoid electromagnetic fields as much as possible. When researching steaming services, I kept hearing good things about Roku but was ignorant about what I needed to get it going and what any additional items needed to get it hooked up and use it.FWIW, for anyone that may find themselves in a similar situation, they may also need the following items in order to stream (depending on what you already have):1) An ethernet cable that connects the Roku to the router. 2) An HDMI cable to connect the Roku to the TV.If you have more than one TV or device that you need to access the internet with, you might need an Ethernet switch (network hub) that will accommodate more than one TV or device.Even though I'm an average to advanced computer user I still had reservations about getting the Roku set up. Two Roku's were purchased for each [NON-smart] TV. After both were connected (easy to do), I referred to a YouTube video explaining how to set/program the Roku. To my surprise, it went smooth and amazingly easy. Roku did a wonderful job at simplifying it --so much so that most could do it without incurring problems (barring complications beyond one's control).I have been using my Roku for several months now and LOVE it! There have been electrical outages due to weather and the Roku had no problem restarting.I will never go back to cable TV again. Roku offers a good number of movies & TV shows to watch. It's easy to figure out and program. Friends have often heard me declare, "have I told you lately how much I LOVE my Roku?"In short, I could not be happier.

Easy to install works great

My old Roku kept restarting out of no where. I knew it was time for an upgrade. So easy to set up, 10/10. Has private listening and controls the tv volume. It’s also came with headphones and batteries. So worth the price.

It's a good price and it works great lots of programs haven't had time to check it all out yet

This Roku unit is really helping with streaming on our Samsung TV. We were having issues with spooling (constant interruptions indicating the network was not connected, etc.) prior to getting it, now we can watch a movie or show without interruptions.
