Unfortunately, Amazon mixes up the reviews of a number of products and, worse, gets some of the headings wrong. I ordered the Scotch 42022050 Extra Strong Carpet Tape, White, 50 mm x 20 m and that is the product I received, except for one thing.... it's not white, it is transparent.Good, strong reinforced tape that is extremely sticky. What you would expect a tape to be.I made the mistake of buying a cheaper tape on Amazon and regretted it. I had to come back and buy this. This stuff is a lot more expensive but it's worth every penny. it's so much stronger and stickier.

Doesn't stick to stonework floor tiles. Sticks to carpet great, but the carpet doesn't stick to the tile work its covering.

Very, very good stuff, and once peeled leaving clear silicate, very sticky, have done both floor tiles(carpet) and celling tiles ( polymer foam type) using this and both applications have proved extremely effective. Take care to flatten on clean flat surface initially and give a few moments to adhere before trying to peel. Finger nails necessary!!👍😁👀

The tape is very easy to apply but very thin once the backing tape is removed, not much thicker than Sellotape in fact. I used it to secure carpet tiles on a painted concrete floor so the contact area over a slightly rough surface is minimal. I had to apply a degreaser to get the tape to stick at all. On a smooth, non-porous surface, the tape would do the job but if you have a rough surface to deal with on either surface, such as hessian-backed carpet, this isn't the tape for the job.
