Works Well but Could Be Very Dangerous
This otoscope arrived in a shrink wrapped, unbranded cardboard box.The box contains:• The otoscope.• Wax removal tips that attach to the otoscope (see pictures).• Some metal wax removal tools in a plastic case (see pictures).• A USB-A to USB-C charging cable (30cm).• Instructions.Firstly, a word of warning. I used to work as an audiologist and because of the training I received I feel comfortable using this device but the strong advice from medical professionals is to NEVER insert anything into your ear canal. I’ve seen several perforated eardrums caused by people inserting everything from cotton wool buds to cocktail sticks in an attempt to remove wax. If you’re going to use this to look inside your (or anyone else’s) ear there is a genuine likelihood that you could cause serious and permanent hearing impairment. I’m using this tool simply for inspection and don’t intend to use the wax removal tips as they could be dangerous. The metal tools supplied with this are very dangerous indeed and should go straight in the bin!The device has a red LED that lights when charging and goes off when fully charged. It connects to the app (free download from the PlayStore) via WiFi and the process is straightforward. The app has a system to warn you when you’re too close to your eardrum but this shouldn’t be relied on. The image is clear and you can take pictures or videos of the view in the app. I have attached a screenshot of my eardrum as seen in the app. This replaces my previous otoscope that connected with a wire via USB. This one is much easier to use and control because it is wire free. When I ordered this it was £26.99 and is currently £19.99 which is a more realistic price. I’m not going to deduct any stars because of the dangers in using this because that’s an individual choice and I’m reviewing the otoscope itself. It does exactly what it is intended to do, produces clear images and is easy to use. I do think supplying the dangerous metal tools with this is irresponsible so I’m knocking off a star because of this.

Overly cautious, maybe......
I am really sorry that I obtained this item, mainly out of curiosity than intent to use it on myself or others.I was always told to never put anything larger than my elbow into my ear and I have survived for 60+ years following that mantra. This kit arrived, within which is a camera with a torch, a charging cable, a set of replacement tips for the torch cleaner and an array of metal instruments, mainly scoops and a couple of other instruments which appear to be designed to remove ear wax.Setting up the camera was easy, you download an app, connect to your smartphone (iPhone in my case) Athen technically you can place this item inside you ear canal and away you go! I can confirm that the camera does provide an image, although I didn't test it in my ear or anyone else's. There is an option within the app to warn of impending impact with a person's ear drum, which I suppose is the main safety feature for this kit.Personally, there is absolutely no way that I could recommend this item to anyone for use at home. They are simply dangerous and for the life of me, I cannot understand how anyone feels that it is appropriate to place metal instruments into anyone's ear when the slightest error could lead to permanent impairment of hearing. It might just be me. I don't have any problem with the quality of construction, but personally I wouldn't use this on anyone and doubt if any trained health professional would either.

So satisfying
This is such a satisfying little device. When you open the box it comes with the ear pen, a few extra ear pickers, ear told, cleaning brush and charging lead that plugs into any USB charger which most people have. It comes with a manual which I did read as ears can be a funny thing if you get it wrong. Simply download the app from the app store. Turn on your WiFi and connect to the ear pen. Then you will see the camera on the app. I like that it has a function if you get to close my to your ear drum that's what I was worried about. The picture is so clear. After jot believing my doctor for years that I don't have anything in my ears I've been able to look for myself and can confirm there's nothing in there. It gives me peace of mind. The tool has a little scoop bit on the end if you have wax in them that frags it out. It also has a function on the apl that you can record or take pictures this is brilliant and sooo satisfying I reccomend it to anyone. And for the price you can't go wrong. Thanks!

Love it
The media could not be loaded. Works amazing, video quality is amazing just wish the screen on the app would be a bit bigger because I don’t like the circle camera. It’s a bit hard to clean the little plastic part but not a deal breaker

Clear and crisp camera quality with high refresh rate
I use this camera for my ear canals and teeth. It lets me inspect my teeth up close to make sure no small cavities are getting by. And its great for checking ear wax build up, the tip of the camera is small and narrow so it fits easily for adults. I wouldn't recommend it for children however. It's very easy to use with my android, the app has a quick set up and connects seamlessly, The only downside here is you have to connect to it via its WiFi, which means your phone will lose connection to your normal WiFi during use.The included attachements are a little non-functional and I don't really use them,. The metal tools seem dangerous and can't be used alone, you would need assistance. I advise simply using this for inspection and not removal.
