Shed Security Locking Bar

I bought the 150cm shed bar. It arrived next day which was brilliant. For me the fixings were long enough. I used a couple of off-cuts of 4x2 wood to bolt through the shed wall. I also used a little bit of 10mm wood as spacers to mount the brackets on the exterior wall of the shed to make sure there was enough room for me to get my heavyweight padlock through the bar, to lock it OK. The bar is super strong and I hope this will act as a deterrent to any would-be burglars! Thanks FJ Brindley.

Overall: Finish is galvanised, sturdy and heavy construction. Choose padlock carefully, perhaps after fitting as the shackle space is limited by the bracket depth. 5 stars for sure.Bar: Made from heavy stock steel this is not going to bend. I have the 1500mm version and have no doubts about its strength. The bar is heavy and looks enough to put any one off attempting to bash or bend out of shape.Brackets: suitably sturdy. Enough slack around the bar to make usage easy sharp corners knocked off to 45 chamfer but still maintain integrity.Delivery: Mine came by DX. The only ones who will deliver such a long and heavy thing. We'll wrapped and presented clean and ready to fit.

Used this to secure my shed/workshop. It means that nobody is going to get in there without making an awful lot of noise. Just be sure to use a decent padlock otherwise you are wasting your money!

The locking bar is really good. Its made my shed look and feel secure. It took me about 15 minutes to fit and can't fault anything. The hardware is tough and top quality. I'll defiantly sleep easier at night with it fitted. Thanks :-)

Very sturdy, and heavy and does the job. Only issue is that because of the weight of it, it could do with a third bracket for the middle as if you haven't got a good hold of the bar and drop it when inserting or pulling out, it could damage the flags/floor. Other than that, a handy piece of kit and gives piece of mind.

very pleased - simple strong and will be noisy if someone tries to get in. no need for alarm! Used it to secure 3 doors! You could say a lot of money for a piece of steel, but when you think about it properly not at all unreasonable whatsoever. Arrived very quickly too - sooner than expected dates. yes you may need longer bolts as did I. bolts are not expensive. The supplier cannot cater for all scenarios!

When I was reading the reviews on this item I thought most of them might be false but no.this item is well made and would recommend to anyone needing a shed security bar,
