As it turned out I didn't need to use this REBELLA 55% Shade Cloth, but if needed it would've worked well.Shade cloth is a must for new transplants. They need help gradually adjusting to sun, heat & water loss. This cloth 100% slows down those processes and helps plants grow in their beginnings outdoors.It's fairly durable made of plastic mesh. Wind resistant as long as it's tacked / held down.Very light weight and easy to use. The 6'5" inch size is perfect for small areas. I needed this for new transplants in early May, we were having freakishly hot weather. As it so happened something ate my small plants so I replanted at a later date and didn't have a need for this.Regommend.

Love that they are light weight, breathable, easy to use, durable, and very convenient! Sun shines threw with proper blockage and protects my plants. They do not trap the hot air/100° heat to fry your plants. Air moves threw without resistance. Water can get threw them easily. They have been a blessing to my plants this year. I keep referring in plural because I am the proud owner of several of these bad boys I like them so much.If they do not make it threw the season i will update this review but so far two happy green thumbs up👍 👍

I bought hoops separately and draped this shade cloth over it. It worked perfectly and fit over the hoops to give shade to my squash and cucumbers (which the size will vary a little depending on how big you make the hoops, but I feel like I made mine a pretty average size).The material of the cloth was different than I expected, but that’s fairly irrelevant if it does the job it should do. I only keep it over my plants during the hottest days, so I can’t speak much for durability except that I was able to use the clips that came with my hoops on it without issues or damage, even taking them off and putting them back on again multiple times in order to readjust the position of the cloth over the plants. But it was easy to use and I happy with it.

Ends are a bit flimsy and not sewn together. Otherwise works great

Every year my raspberries get burned and this year I got this shade cloth and put it over the top of my raspberries. It still let sunshine through to feed the raspberries but none of them got burned. Best crop I've had.

Perfect for shading plants or hardening them off before transplanting.

Very sturdy giving shade to my orange tree in Arizona. Tree is fairly large so I sewed 4 together for coverage. Working great.
