Illuminating all the unasked questions that have been suppressed by mainstream academia
Loved this book. An absolute page turner. Gives so many theories to the questions I've had about the bible, since reading it. Mauro biglino writes so beautifully.

Thought Provoking
Only in the last couple of hundred years has the vast majority of people had access the bible, there was power in keeping most people illiterate and where the bible is concerned fully understandable. Even today most priests will avoid passages of the bible that might get people thinking and asking questions. This book makes you think.

An Outstanding Book - A Must Read For Truth Seekers
I came across Mauro Biglino during an interview with Graham Hancock. A search on YouTube should find it. The books starts off with the anthropological example of cargo cults who worshipped the American military’s presence during and after the USA left the WWII Pacific theatre. Primitive people may deify fellow human beings who possess advanced technology.Hancock touches bases with Biglino by suggesting the Elohim — a plural term — is wrongly translated as a monotheistic God when “they” are possibly a technologically superior race interpreted as “gods” and “God”. The author is open to the possibility that the Elohim are extraterrestrials, although in making this suggestion he observes that the Elohim are at least humanlike if not human themselves. We learn “God” doesn’t not actually appear in the Old Testament. Monotheistic “He” is either conflated with the plural “Elohim”, who the author suggests is probably best left untranslated, or a particular member of the Elohim, Yahweh, who doesn’t enter the narrative until after the flood.Yahweh is a capricious vindicative entity far removed from the Platonic universal loving God one gets from the New Testament. BIGLINO STARTS OFF BY SUGGESTING WE MIGHT CONSIDER TAKING THE BIBLE AT FACE VALUE IF ONLY WE TAKE ON BOARD THE CORRECT TRANSLATIONS FROM HEBREW. Yahweh comes across as having materialistic desires for the usually imagined monotheistic God he has been confused with. The reconciliation of these two ideas of “God” between the Old and New Testaments versions has always been problematic.Other mistranslated divinities include “Satan” who should be translated as “the satan” aka “the adversary” which means the opponent. The definite article “the” informs us that adversaries are a generic term for opponents and not a metaphysical entity in Hell prodding people with a toasting fork for eternity. Satan – aka the Devil — and God are superimpositions of later translators who wish to adapt ancient history to what their contemporary theology required of them. No wonder this guy was sacked by the Vatican. Much about angels — more properly called messengers — and the angelic hierarchy is simple translation imposition on the original narrative. It is to his credit that Biglino is open to the Antediluvian hypothesis as championed by Hancock. I sincerely hope he is not taken on board by those scam artists at “Ancient Aliens” and discredited by association with the likes of them and frauds like Erich Von Daniken and Zachariah Sitchin. This book is absolutely compelling.Simon Charles Smith, author of “Fake Aliens And The Phony Nuke World Order”

Mind expanding
Religious? Read this book..Agnostic? Read this book..Atheist? Read this book..Inquisitive? Read this book..Incurious? Why? Everybody who has even the slightest inkling that homo sapiens could and/or should be capable of being so much more as a species than the wasteful, war mongering, bamboozled, uncaring masses that many of us have unquestioningly allowed ourselves to become, could do much worse than read this book. It deserves to become an inspirational text in the necessary paradigm shift that our species needs to embrace, if we are ever to evolve much further in our shared journey of enlightened understanding, remembrance, and ultimate forgiveness. Truly, a ground breaking text that should earn a prominent and long lasting, esteemed place in our history. ..Read this book....

Nothing springs to mind
I suspect a bit of pro-alien bias at work but it's impossible to know for sure. I am no biblical scholar, not an I religious!. That would be absurd. I am sure many equally biased theologians will argue the author deliberately misinterpreted Hebrew to support his view. At face value the God of the old testament appears very human, sharing many human failings. I think it much more likely that alien costs t is recorded in world origin tales than a plethora of gods did the job. Most people will not discuss these ideas as they are either firmly religious, scared of undermining their belief or simp!y not interested. Many Christians do not read the bible in full and it's teachings seem to be late man made ethics not at all supported in the old Bible stories. I am told by Christians that it's all about Jesus and the new testament which seems a bit of a dodge if it's the same perfect all living god. We are very selective in what nice stories find their way into. Church abstained school.and what gets left in the cutting room floor. It is bizarre how much credibility religion gets though. This author bizarrely attacks scientists at the end. This gives away the true agenda perhaps and allows the propaganda to shine through. All YouTubers use "scuence" to generate support for their ideas based on perceived common prejudice towards scientists. Why not attack all humans for not caring enough or being objectively critical and curious. Why not pick.on the church for defending power and wealth based on a man made motion of the devine! ? Easier to have a go at scientist.

Fascinating
Easy to read, with a brilliant new interpretation of the biblical text. But I would not recommend this book for those who are firm believers in the theological God of the Bible. It would only cause them serious cognitive dissonance.

Mind blowing!
Everyone on planet Earth should read this book. I have both of Mr. Biglino's books The Naked Bible and now Gods of the Bible. Both books are great. However, Gods of the Bible is written in a reader's easy to understand format. Everything is explained about the origins of mankind. I personally never understood the Bible. When we have been taught that it is true word for word it makes NO sense. Finally someone has the intelligence and the courage to write a true translation! Thank you Mr. Biglino. I'm sure that you will get plenty negative reviews. That's because hard-core religious believers do not have open minds. They wish to continue in their make believe world because it's always been that way. Thank you for enlightening me and others that have always believed that something wasn't right with everything that has been pushed down our throats by the "holy" leaders. It all comes down to money and power. Your work is just history interpreted correctly. Thank you! Thank you!

A must read!
The work of Mauro Biglino is one of the most important when it comes to analysing old Hebrew bible texts. It shows not only the huge manipulation because of the changes when the texts have been translated but also that the old testament is based on the so called Mesopotamian Mythology. The implications of his analysis are huge and showing definitely that the bible is not about the Universal God nor was it written in his name. A game changer for everyone who is interested in this subject and very powerful, able to change our belief system in general.

God as an exterrational alien
I remember having to study the bible at school for a year when I was about 13 years old and none of what I was taught by the Priest wearing his black outfit made much sense.Truth is perhaps not always the way we would like to see things it can certainly be confronting because we have to question what we believe to be true. This book certainly rattled me quite a bit.In my opinion there is no need to worship Jehovah also called YHWH or Yahweh whom appears to have been a very angry exterrational that were responsible for many human beings dying in the Old Testament. The Prophet referred to in the Bible were simply a spokesperson for this demented grey alien and that human being referred to as a Prophet would have had to be as psychopathic as the alien that gave him directions in instigating wars and mayhem on this Planet.Few people have true courage in speaking the truth in this world and I truly admire anyone who does because you don't gain much popularity in doing so.This author does and he is humble in his interpretations. Mauro Biglino does not just blurt out as I have done above that God is an exterrational, that is simply a conclusion I have come to after reading the book.A lady I met a few years ago belonged to the Jehova Witness's Faith. She seemed very dazed and kept talking incessantly about her love of Jesus (which is fine) but she also thought that only God could have created this world because a human being could not create a simple leaf. And that is of course true. But an exterrational alien race certainly would be able to do so in my opinion.Truth can be so uncomfortable! It would be much easier to live in denial. Nevertheless, Truth is Truth!Excellent book, I hope anyone with an open mind will read it.If your mind is closed or you simply believe what a Priest is preaching then stay with that.
