Fits my XDS-45. Awesome quality.
Between the Marine Corps and being a cop I have been in service for over 20 years. In that time I have been involved in more than my share of bad situations. I say that so I can say this: I am very picky about my carry gear.I generally carry my XDS-45 off duty. In my humble opinion it’s one of the best for me. My only real complaint, if you can call it that is capacity. While 6+1 of 45 ACP is nothing to laugh at, I am a worst case scenario kind of guy. So I have been in search of a quality leather magazine holster for my pistol, that matches my Urban Carry Lockleather holster. This 1791 magazine holster is perfect for that. The leather and stitching is top notch. It looks great and is is perfect match for my holster. The belt loops fit perfectly in a double thick riggers belt, which I like. This rides very tight to your body, which is great for concealment. I can honestly hide this and the pistol under a t-shirt if I wanted, I prefer a cover shirt but I can. Also, 2 additional magazines of 45 ACP is enough to make any 9mm millennial fanboy cringe😬There is a break in period, so don’t expect to buy it and have easy re-loads day one. That’s quality leather though. But I guarantee you will not lose a magazine.I highly recommend this and will definitely purchase more gear from 1791.

Excellent Quality and Fit
Extremely impressed by this first purchase of 1791 leather. Very good materials and craftsmanship, fit, and aesthetic appearance. Will definitely buy this brand again.

Comfortable and high quality
Love these mag holders. I was going to buy the single version but decided on this because of the cost value. I was a little concerned that they would be too big and bulky. But I was pleasantly surprised to find out that they’re just right. They are very comfortable aware and you hardly even notice you have them on. High-quality leather like a fine pair of cowboy boots. I couldn’t be happier.

Great Product
I bought this mag holder because sometimes I like to carry my 1911 and it's single-stack. My other off-duty holders are for double-stacks. This product description said it was real leather, which typically means really good quality and long lifespan. When I first opened the package, the smell of the leather came out and I knew I didn't have some sort of knock off. It was a bit stiff at first, but I've had experience with leather products before and I know the important trick to breaking it in is....do nothing, really. Just use it. After two days of wearing it around the office, it is nicely formed and holds the shape well. The mags fit nice and snug. The belt loops are sturdy and thick. The leather looks great - I got the black one. I doubt it will, but if this holder should fail, I'll update my review and drop the stars. But as it stands now, they deserve 5 stars

Great initial quality. Very tight initial mag fit but that's normal.
I carry an Officer's 1911 in a Galco OWB holster. The 1791 mag holster looks like it was designed to match the Galco. My mags fit too tightly right now but leather holsters loosen up as they break in.Other Good Points:1. Comfort. It's wide and flat and rides high without the mags poking me in the side. The little bit of weight on my left side helps balance out the weight of the gun on my right side. Fits a 2 wide inch belt.2. Classic clean looks.3. Price. At least on initial inspection, it appears to have the same quality as better-known manufacturers for less money.Bad Points:1. I haven't found one yet. I'll update if I do.

Quality Craftsmanship
This product is made very well, and looks nice. However I gave it four stars due to the fact I did return it within my window due to the lack of retention in the holster. If you want to carry a few times here and there this is a great buy for the money, but if you’re like me and have to carry daily this is probably not the holster for you. I also tried the 1791 belt and holster and ultimately returned the whole set. In my opinion this is nice for special occasions, but I did not believe this set was adequate for everyday use.

Good/tight hold
Works perfect. You will probably need to break it in with some use. It holds SINGLE STACK ONLY. I use for my 10rd mags. No complaints. Not loose, tight fit. Leather is of very good quality. I used to work for a car leather manufacturer. This is thick tool leather and will last for a lifetime if you take care of it.Price was fair and the build is excellent. I recommend this double mag pouch.SgtWall USMC

Excellent quality
1791 Gunleather 2.1 Mag Holster is a quality product at a price much lower than many competitors. I purchased this particular model, which is designed to carry single-stack .45 caliber 1911 pistol magazines, to use with my single-stack 10MM 1911 style magazines. It works perfect and I love the way this mag holder hugs close to the body for CCW. I recommend using Vaseline or leather soap to generously coat the insides of the magazine pockets, then wrapping your magazines with thick paper (envelopes or file paper work good). Tape the wrapping tight to your magazines, cut the paper to size so that it acts as a sleeve, then push the paper-wrapped magazines into the magazine pockets and allow them to sit for a couple of days. Upon removing the magazines and paper sleeves you will find your magazines are a perfect fit in your new leather mag holder.
