Pandoras Upholstery 12M 100G Lead Curtain Weight Hem Tape

I have curtains above radiators that kept billowing everytime the heating was on, but the space betweent the window sill and rad is too tight to tuck the curtains behind and I couldn't raise the rail any higher so needed some weights.This does the trick, although it does not come in a roll as pictured but as a cut length. It was easy to thread through the hem of the curtain once I unpicked a little opening at one end, as its quite thin and its easy to cut to length. However the nylon outter does fray very quickly, in fact as soon as its cut, so I passed it over an open flame very briefly to melt the nylon a little, then wrapped the ends in some tape, which works ok.

Very good heavy tape and the curtains hang better when they are closed but it made the bottoms of my curtains stiffer so they didn’t fold as neatly when pulled back. Individual sewn on weights may have done a better job as they wouldhave allowed the bottoms to fold more neatly.Have some fabric glue handy when you cut the tape as the casing unravels easily. I dipped mine in PVA and hung them up to dry. The cut ends of the length i ordered were well sealed on arrival, probably with a glue gun, which might be even better.

This product is ideal for adding weight to curtains, it is easy to thread through the hem, before cutting the TAPE to your required length wrap the TAPE with insulating tape or similar to prevent frayng, this makes the threading process easier.

I used it to weigh down a shower curtain, which billows towards the user with the heat of the shower. It has not quite solved the problem. Maybe I should have red red a heavier weight.

Easy to install and curtains hang better now.

These were really easy to feed into the hem of my curtains and did the job perfectly

Lead weights.....marvelous......great help for stopping nets blowing up and stopping " undesirables " looking into your rooms. Very easily stitched into bottom of nets.....marvelous invention !!!
