Comics story.This is one of the best special effects movies that I have ever bought.This D.V.D. is pure entertainment and comes from The Wild Wild West genre and is non stop action all the way and I wish that there was a part 2.If you liked "The Mummy" movies with Brendan Fraser,then this is for you.Jonah Hex is non-stop entertainment all the way and time flies watching it.BUY IT BEFORE IT GOES OUT OF CIRCULATION.Dave Cox

I WANTED TO GIVE A LOWER STARS BETWEEN 2 AND 3 BUT, I WATCH IT AGAIN AND AGAIN AND FOR SOME REASON GAVE IT A 5 STARS. ONCE GET INTO IT ONCE YOU SEE BOTH SIDE YOU CAN SEE THAT THIS WILL ONLY GET BETTER AND BETTER. ITS A GREAT MOVIE AND THERE IS SOME CLINTEAST WOOD IN THERE, BUT ITS A NEW START TO A INDIFFERENT KIND OF WESTERN

This 2010 American post-Civil War science fiction revenge Western tells the tale of Jonah hex [Josh Brolin] an ex confederate cavalryman who witnesses the death of his children at the hands of his former commander is saved from death by Crow Indians but in saving him, he’s left with the ability to speak to the dead, becomes a bounty hunter and wants revenge.The picture quality is very sharp with a good sound. The overall flavour is similar to the ‘man with no name’ spaghetti westerns, particularly ‘High Plains Drifter’ but given a sort of ’steampunkt’ ’sci-fi’ edge. Realism isn’t the key factor, entertainment and action are. And of course there is a ‘super’ weapon thrown in for good measure as is Megan Fox as the ‘sassy’ whore love interest.The single disc opens to a multitude of language choices then goes to a blu ray ad before main menu offering play, deleted scenes and languages [basically subtitles for Scandinavia and Britain]If you like spaghetti westerns of the 60s-70s and want to see an updated version with a comic book feel in the vein of ‘Wild, Wild West’ featuring gimmicky weapons, over the top characters and situations, then this could be for you. It’s an 18 rating but could easily have been a ***** 15 with a little more thought.

steampunk weapons, the undead, explosions, corsets, cowboys... what's not to like?i admit the film seems a little bit rushed at the beginning, but if you don't expect too much from a comic book adaption, then sit back and enjoy a gothic cowboy film!

Unlike the critics and the viewers who had found this film to be rather vapid as well as short of many other charms that are supposed to define a blockbuster, I found the film to be good enough for a boring evening. For such time-slots (which are numerous in many of our lives nowadays) I recommend this film, which is rich in depiction of Brolin's (disfigured) visage, wisecracks (supported by cracks of literally smoking guns), but should have had more display of Megan Fox' assets. Perhaps in the sequel...??

Not my thing my hubby loves it

an interesting tale with a supernatural twist to it. I would not recommend for small children as it has violence and of course that supernatural aspect which I feel is not good for kids.With that said, it is a very interesting adult tale.

This is by no means a good movie, & a bad adaptation of a great comic. However, it is enjoyably charming and easily digestible. It is also nice to have a copy with the theatrical poster as a cover, & not the crappy cover that is on the U.S BluRay (which is way too hard to find)
