Kokuho Rose Rice, 10-Pound (Pack of 2)

I really love this rice, and I have learned to produce consistent, properly cooked batches. My method is to spray rinse the raw rice under running warm water, and do so 4, 5, or 6 times until the water no longer looks milky ( this will remove excess starch and keep your rice from sticking together ).I use 1.25 cups of water to 1.00 cups of rice by volume. Crush a couple of garlic cloves, add 1/2 teaspoon of salt and 1/8 teaspoon of MSG along with 1 tablespoon of butter to the rinsed rice, bring to boil, simmer 20 minutes, then sit covered with heat off for ten minutes and PERFECT rice every time.

I and other members of my family like the flavor of jasmine rice better, but this rice is also good.

I have tried Many rices. This really has greet overall flavor. I have never cooked it in anything but a rice cooker. Damn good.

Very happy with the flavor and texture of this rice, but the best thing is I don't need any pre-soak or pre-anything! Just put it in the rice maker with water and it comes out perfect for sushi!

I always try to buy from Amazon.com as the seller. This product is good stuff. Don't be fooled by the code on the bag--it is the manufacturing date and not the expiration. The rice is good for about a year, maybe less after it's open. Just store it in a cool, dry location. Love this for sushi but also fried rice is almost a higher end product using this!

It is a little bit more pricey than other kinds of rice, but it is worth it.

Recommended for people looking for short-grain rice. The bag has a convenient ziplock on it.

It's rice, it tastes good, you get it in a bag. Follow the directions and use a rice cooker and you will never have problems.
