Accurate and light
I recently purchased the CRAFTSMAN 55 ft. Pocket Laser Distance Measurer, and I must say it exceeded my expectations.Here are the highlights:Accuracy: The laser distance measurer worked precisely as advertised. Works for to measure up-close distances
I bought this to use as a rangefinder for photography with old cameras that had no rangefinder (or autofocus). I think it will work well for this as it measures close-in in the range of inches but also reaches out to many feet.

Not bad
A bit of a learning curve at first then it’s ok.

Pretty handy in some situations.
This works pretty well for some basic or hard-to-reach measurements. Changing how you are measuring is a little troublesome (try to turn it off and you change the scale half the time) but you get use to it.Then when you are done with all your measurements, use it as a laser pointer and watch the cat go nuts chasing it around the floor!

Limited Lifetime!!
Buyer beware, this is not a quality product meant to last. This product is protected by a "lifetime" warranty - of only one year. Obviously, this means that it's lifetime is just that year. As a homeowner I believe in buying quality tools to last MY lifetime. Very disappointed to read those deceptive details. So sad, craftsman was once the gold standard of made in America quality, now on par with Harbor Freight. Deception and poor quality is not what I expected, but it is what I got. I bought this to estimate a garden layout at my house. I should have used the tape measure I already owned, $35 to save 7 minutes was pretty expensive
