Magnificent Moody Blues Concert
I have been a fan of the MB since their groundbreaking landmark album fusing Rock with Classical/Classical with Rock 'Days of Future Passed.' This genre has always fascinated me. This is the dvd of their famous concert from the Red Rocks natural amphitheater with the Colorado Symphony playing portions of the album mentioned and essentially their Greatest Hits. You hear the famous opening soliloquy 'Tuesday' 'Knights' my faves 'Wildest Dreams' and 'I Know You're Out There Somewhere.' A great video and great compilation of music of a great band at what may be their best years. The audience that is having a great time seems to think so too. The Moody Blues Rock and Classical >>do work<< >>do go together well.

A stirring of cobwebs
My late wife and I were at the Moody Blues concert at Red Rocks on September 10th, the day after this video was filmed. There are no noticeable differences between the recording and what we experienced. It was indeed a magical night. No, it is not Blu-ray or 4K or have Dolby 5.1 surround. My hearing is not able to appreciate such things and the quality of the picture is plenty good enough. This video is especially important now after the passing of some of the band members. I greatly appreciate being able to experience a time from long ago. Love The Moody Blues? Try and obtain a copy of this concert for yourself.

Nostalgia for Moody Blues lovers
I've seen the Moody Blues live five times, all indoors. The first concert was in Munich at the Circus Krone in 1973 when Mike Pinder was the keyboardist (the founder left the band in 1978) with Graeme Edge (died in 2021) on drums, Ray Thomas (primarily flute and percussion), Justin Harward (guitar) and John Lodge (bass). These five gents had released seven albums in six years (1967-72) and played for 3.5 hours nonstop utilizing numerous instruments to reproduce their music flawlessly. It remains my favorite concert of all time and I've attended dozens.Fast forward to Red Rock in 1992. Add two keyboardists, a second drummer, two female backup vocalists and the Colorado Symphany Orchestra to reproduce the classic sound, and you have a great performance by a band that sold over 70 million LPs worldwide.Justin Hayward, the primary lead singer, lacked the near-angelic vocal strength for the high notes of his earlier career but still sounded great on all songs, especially for a live performance. Lodge and Thomas' vocals were excellent. The music was rock solid throughout. For me, this great DVD was a trip down Nostalgia Lane. The Moody Blues music will never become old or tired. I will experience a "New Horizon" someday like all mortals. I hope the Moody Blues are on "The Other Side of Life" when I arrive.

Fantastic, well worth the money!
It has been years since I last heard "Lovely To See You", " Your Wildest Dreams" and " I Know Your Out There Somewhere", but to see them performed "LIVE" just made it all that much better!

Was actually in excellent condition...better than advertized!
Item was just fine with respect to playing - unfortunate that video of the time lacked the higher definition of later recordings but I wanted something with the whole original band and the group's voices still as young as possible.

Kein guter Abend...
