I would certainly buy a good case bc i was a bit nervous taking it out and about at first but now its my favorite thing. Great for drawing, great battery life, excellent storage. So glad i treated myself with this for christmas

Good tablet from Samsung

I'll admit I was concerned about buying refurbished but have to say I'm pleased. I selected the Excellent condition and 256GB model. No wear and tear I can find. Came with a screen protector so previous owner probably treated it well. Also working S Pen. I'm on day 3 AT 50% of a fully charged 100% battery. Only modest use, maybe 2 or 3 hours of video, some ring camera monitoring and YouTube scrolling and such, but on par or better than my other tablets including a new Tab S9 FE. Got this Tab S8 because the FE doesn't support DEX HDMI out via the USB c connector that I didn't realize it didn't have until I wanted to use it for that. Sound is actually better on this S8 also. Also selected supplier WirelessDirect (which seemed to have a bit higher sarisfaction percentages) with amazon.com shipping.

I bought a brand new Tab S9 in August for $799. Every time I used it, I get eye ache, and nausea. Finally, one day I got vertigo after using it to watch a movie at night. I found out about the very low PWM (flickering) controller that Samsung used on all their high end Amoled screen devices: the lower the brightness, the more prominent flickering. So, I sold the Tab S9 at a loss, and got this renewed Tab S8 at half the price of a new Tab S9. I am so glad I did. Tab S8 is an LCD screen, so it does not have PWM problem. No more eye ache, tired eyes, nausea, and vertigo. Samsung needs to fix their PWM problem on all their Amoled devices.

PREVIOUSLY: It’s been almost a year of use. Two months ago, I started having issues with charging, but by adjusting the charging cable and port, sometimes it would still charge, so I kept using it like that. But now, I can't take it anymore—no matter what I do, it won't charge. When it does successfully charge, I feel like setting off fireworks in celebration. Aside from the charging issue, everything else is great. But without power, even the best device is just scrap metal. EDIT: The issue was the provided cable.

I have had this for many months. It's packed with RAM and is very fast. The S pen is also nice for some games that require precision. It's the best tablet I have had since I bought my first one, when people didn't really buy them yet. Refurbished is the best way to go. This one should last me at LEAST 4 years, maybe more!

I've had nothing but problems with this tablet and the seller was less than helpful. It occasionally flashes and now today the microphone stop working. I'll never buy another refurbished product unless it's directly from Amazon

Product came looking brand new, all peripherals working fine (charging cable and S-Pen). Very happy with purchase.
