I bought two sets of these to replace old cutlery but when I saw it I was SO disappointed. It just didn't look like what I had hoped, and I set the two boxes aside. Now about 6 years on I decided that we would use it after all, and boy, was I wrong!Yes, the design is simple and plain, but it actually looks good on the table, good weight, and a sensible design (unlike a previous set with funny shaped forks!), but we decided that as we really like it we are going to try and prolong the life by hand-washing it. At first that seemed a chore, but the time 'wasted' in washing it you save by not having to put it all away out of the dishwasher.I can highly recommend this set.

Bought these as a new everyday set of cutleryNice to hold and use. Look very nice and reasonably priced. Have only give 4 stars due to one teaspoon and one dessert spoon having a very small mark on then that won’t come off

This set is lovely quality and I have been using them for several months and they are fine in the dishwasher. My only problem was that it did not travel well and were all out of the preformed box by the time it arrived on my doorstep. It didn't really matter as it was for my own use, but if I had wanted to give it as a gift (and it would make a lovely wedding gift) I would have had to get it repackaged as the cellophane viewing window on the front of the box was damaged too. The design is modern and they feel really comfortable to handle and cut with.

Quality cutlery plain modern design ,bought for a present ,disappointed this was not in a presentation box as stated , but in a plain brown box .

Due to a disability within the family we need quite sharp cutlery, to make it easier to eat. These knives are sharp, which is a relief as you can't tell that from a picture. They look more expensive than they are, and I love the very simple lines. If I had to find a negative it would be that the serving spoons could usefully be a smidge bigger. I specifically wanted cutlery that would go through the dishwasher, and the description said that these were. On opening the box, the information sheet advised against dishwashing, which was disappointing. After about 6 months of daily dishwashing they seem to be OK. Occasional rust spots on knifes when I take them out of the dishwasher, but I can push these off with my nail. On balance, really pleased with them.

have been using for for 3 months and the majority of the cutlery has developed surface rust! They are only cleaned in the dishwasher and are supposed to be dishwasher proof. I cannot return them to Amazon as they are outside the returns window... so much for the 12 month guarantee.... Be warned!
