My new favorite kitchen tool
Fantastic machine. It's going to pay for itself within three months. Plus, I get to cut my meat exactly the way I like it.It's small and light and easy to handle. Stays put on the countertop. Plenty of power. Comes with a spare blade. Works absolutely great. It's easy to clean. The blade is especially nice because it's not razor sharp so that it would cut you easily (but be careful!!), but it's just right for slicing meat. Another great feature of it is that it does not have messy lubrication in the back of the blade, so you can easily wash it and reinstall it with no hassle. It removes quite easily. The control knob for the thickness is large and easy to modulate.I can't find anything to criticize about this unit. And did I mention the price is right?

Cutting prosciutto crudo
Overall this is a good product. I bought this to slice a 19 lb prosciutto and a 3.7 lb culatello i recevied from a cousin in Italy. These cured meats need to be sliced thinly. With practice and experimentation I am now able to generally cut thin enough slices, but I need to rotate the meat every two or three slices as the blade seems to grab a little more of the meat when it first hits (starting the slice a little thicker than I would like) but angles so that it loses its contact part way through the cut. The other issue is that the tray on which you put the meat does not accomodate a piece of meet as large as a full prosciutto, so I have to cut off a slab and then cut that in half to make it fit on the slicer. Still, this does a much better job then trying to cut prociutto by hand. So overall, pretty happy with this slicer.

Great to slice lunch meat
The media could not be loaded. I was tited to buy lunch meat pre- cut and decided to save some money buying the bulk meat. I had a smaller slicer and it was taking too long to cut all my meat so I decided to upgrade. This meat cutter is easy to use, not professional grade but work great for me.Cleaning is easy, remove the blade and clean up. Which is perfect (I hate stuff hard to clean).I have been cutting ham, and salami without any trouble (in my video in cutting potatoes). š you can choose the size of the slice you want by turning the knob. I like that you don't have to keep your finger on the "on" switch which was a pain with my old slicer (you get tired very fast if holding the switch when you have to cut a lot of meat).Great little addition to my kitchen.

Almost professional grade
I was so excited when I received this slicer to find that it's mostly metal and not plastic like I used to have. I started slicing a Genoa salami I bought almost immediately. Love being able to buy cold cuts this way because I not only save money but I can cut what I need and save on spoiled food. It glides through everything I've already sliced with ease and yet gentle enough for cheeses. I like the knob that is used for thickness my only thought is the tray the food sits on for slicing could be a little bigger but all in all I can't complain because the quality is superb for home use. Cleaning isn't toohard either although the tray doesn't remove I can lower it to the sink and was with warm water and soap. Also love it came with an extra blade. I know I'll have this slicer for years to come thank you

Little work horse
I've used this slicer 4 times now. 3 with meat and once with cheese. It slices through semi-frozen meat like butter. It may be a smaller cutting blade, but it is a mean little blade on cutting. I have no idea how long it will function, but for cutting lunch meat, it won't take many more to compensate for the cost. The only con i have, is the gap between the meat and the blade. it tends to not safely cut a somewhat large portion of product. it is kind of lost in the gap. I don't mind too much. The cost of a ham to cut is about half the cost of cut meat. the little end that is not able to be cut by the slicer, is easily cut by knife. The thickness of your cut is easily selected by a large turn knob. Overall, I believe this cutter is well worth the cost.

Absolute crap. Stay away.
This is not a heavy duty machine and you will not get "professional" results. With applying the seller coupon and after tax I go this machine for $77. That's about $75 too much.10-19-2023 I've had this piece of junk for some time now trying everything I can to make it work correctly and frankly it's just a waste of money. I've sliced up about 6 roasts for carnivore chips and it gets worse and worse every time. The blade flexes too much to get consistent slices and the plastic drive gear is already showing signs of major wear. Because of the constant flexing you're forced to turn your meat stock every 2-3 slices to try and keep it square to your cutting platform. You have to be diligent with lubrication - in my case I use tallow or bacon grease on the gear and slide bar - or it will jam up and not operate smoothly. It gets hot quickly since the blade stays dull and is not polished and I'm already getting a squeal like a bearing going out. Since the table is not height adjustable you have to hold the meat in your hand so the center of the blade will cut your stock . The crap blade will not hold an edge and I've already had to sharpen it twice, plus as the blade gets more and more dull you have to start applying more pressure to make it cut and now the machine starts sliding across the counter top.I'm past my return so this thing is going in the trash and I'll count this as a lesson learned. My ideology is "buy once cry one" but it looks like I'll be crying twice on this one when I buy a replacement commercial-type unit.

Works but how to clean
I make our sandwich bread and cut our deli meat so this is great for us. It comes with two blades for the two different purposes. It does the job and cuts well. It is however, impossible to totally clean. I noticed there are a lot of crumbs falling into the inner workings of the machine. You need a special bit to get the machine open. Itās not just a star bit. But when I opened it up it is all wired. Not easy to clean at all. Thankfully, Iām more often using it for the bread so itās just bread crumbs and not wet meat juice in there but I canāt say I think itās very safe. I do use it often and like it but I would find something else if I had to do it again.
