Silverwing: The Graphic Novel (The Silverwing Trilogy)

I absolutely love reality based stories, where you can even learn something, like an animal’s behavior and such. For instance I did not know that bats migrate between seasons. The artwork is realistic. The story is enticing and entertaining. I hope to see the other two novels in graphics, as well as more stories eventually!

I love how this graphic novel held my reading-averse child’s interest. First thing he has read from cover to cover in one setting in forever.

The book is everything he wanted and more. The details are gorgeous and the book is robust

Silverwing by Kenneth Oppel is a true Classic. I cannot recommend this story enough. The perfect young hero's journey about a little Bat that would end up saving the World. I was beyond thrilled to see this Epic Tale get adapted into a graphic novel. The Art by Christopher Steininger is absolutely beautiful. I couldn't have wished for a better artist to illustrate this world. We need a sequel FAST!!

Though there's a TV series of Silverwing (which sadly ended), it wasn't true to the book, so seeing the book's version come to life with illustrations was a joy. The artwork is fantastic. I hope Sunwing and Firewing get the same love as well!/|'\_<('@,')>_/'|\

Truly enjoyed reading this. The stylized backgrounds, vivid use of colors, and art style as a whole really makes the story pop.And I absolutely hope the next books will be adapted into graphic novels too.

Finished reading not too long ago. I remembered watching the show series on HULU many years ago, and was excited to hear that there was a graphic novel. So, I read the first book, this one, and was filled with amazement, anticipation, inspiration, until I finished it. I really loved reading it, and am looking forward to read the rest!!

Read the novel as a kid, had to buy this for the nostalgia. Super cool to reread it with the graphic novel visuals, 10/10, would go back in time to purchase again

You wore these books out as a kid. I still have mine, the spine wrinklier than I am now. The art is beautiful, the story is well adapted, and it got me right back into reading the originals again. I hope there will be more of these!

Okay, full disclosure, I wrote this book, but I'm here to sing the praises of artist Christopher Steininger, without whom this book would quite simply not exist. He was not merely the illustrator but, to use cinema terminology, the storyboard artist, director, cinematographer, production designer and acting coach. So, bravo to Christopher! (And the story's not bad either!)

My 8 year old breezed through this book. He loved it.

Took a chance on this and it's a 10/10. Great story with excellent art.
