This collection would have been better if they had NOT included 'Letters,' but had added 'Play Misty for Me'. 'Letters' is a very confused mish-mash of bits, and flash-backs/forwards, some in Japanese with subtitles (sometimes) that distract the viewer from what is happening on-screen, and the whole purpose of the film and title is only revealed in the last few seconds.

Strong story line and genre, frighteningly true to life of a man on death row who is completely innocent, and thanks to Clint Eastwood character, a journalist who comes onto the case days within the execution. Managing to stop the execution as the man is strapped in and lethal injection starts to flow.... Great actors, story-line, well acted - definitely recommended.

This is a fantastic collection of some of the best of Clint Eastwood current films. He is simply a genius, combining directing and performing. His portrayal in Gran Torino as the sterotypical grumpy old loner was inspiring, with the added moral of protecting the more vunerable in society. A must have purchase for all Eastwood fans.

Before you buy this great collection beware only about the fact that one disc (Letter from...) has only Japanes Audio track. I am sure it's a great movie but I would have bought a dubbed version because being Italian I am not used to watch movies with neither the Italian or English audio track.This movie has never been dubbed in English so the complain is not on the boxset but with the misleading information in the Amazon product page. In any case I will not return the item because although I will watch only 4 movies it's still a great bargain, in Italy I would have spent at least twice the Amazon price.

Good set of DVD's, one proved the he can work behind the camera as well as in front of it.

These movies are great quality at a great price

Excellent value. I read all the reviews before purchasing confirming that this collection was Region 1 and would play in my Blu-Ray player. I especially wanted the Flags of our Fathers and Letters from Iwo Jima and found this collection of five blu-rays for less than I could have purchased just the two. I didn't really appreciate Mystic River but the other four movies are definitely keepers.

Bien embalado, llegada en su tiempo

Ich vermute, es handelt sich um Raubkopien. Drei von fünf DVDs tragen nicht einmal den Titel des aufgezeichneten Films. Die üblichen Einleitungen solcher DVDs fehlen oder sind nur rudimentär vorhanden. Teilweise werden verschiedene Sprachen zur Wahl gestellt, obwohl die Filme nur auf Englisch abgespielt werden können. Auch die Bildqualität lässt mitunter zu wünschen übrig. Nur die äußere Präsentation (Schuber, 2 Plastikkassetten) wirkt original.
