I was a little concerned when I ordered as my VW Eos has a very deep dashboard, but it works fine. The arm is reasonably sturdy but quite flexible and the grip keeps hold of an iPhone 8. All in all pretty happy with this.

Suction cup regularly comes unstuck, phone cradle keeps becoming loose and rotating (tightened by a nut on the back of the cradle), and it can be a bit long in cars where the windscreen is close to the driver.However, the phone is held tight, it's good for larger phones like the Samsung Galaxy S10+, and the 3M tape based support is a great feature to stabilise the phone.

Broke after two years, probably due to the heat. Ok for the price

I got this little gizmo for my mobility scooter. It took a few goes, and a few brake!-check phone-reattached moments, but I said ‘right, last go’ and it stayed in place, so make of that what you will. Now 8mph is not the fastest speed, and as long as I avoid Northampton potholes it’s usually fairly smooth. Unless you are a phone at the end of a gooseneck cable, in which case driving over a blade of grass is enough to send the phone holder part ducking and weaving like a concussed boxer.After the fifth time that Siri asked what I wanted, the phone abandoned all hope and just wanted me to let Apple know that everything was going wrong and it didn’t like it one bit. I pulled over, undid the suction clamp and attempted to pull it off the screen to which it had quickly developed a limpet <~> rock attraction. Unfortunately when I put a little more force -not much, I am disabled, hence mobility scooter- I turned out to be pulling from the phone holder end, at which end it snapped off, throwing shards of plastic as it did so.I have decided not to replace it with a different make, at which news Siri was so excited that they spelled 3 words in a row correctly in speak-to-text mode, which has left both of us thoroughly unnerved. On behalf of us both I cannot recommend this for a mobility scooter mobile phone holder, and now look to the scooter’s manufacture (TGA) to perhaps refashion one of the two cupholders below the dash of this one seat vehicle, as I don’t think anyone wants me to take both hands off the steering to have a quick one of my 2 drinks while trying to stop my phone from braining itself.

Super item. Seems strong and is sturdy. Good suction onto glass (doesn't stick on the plastic dashboard surface in my car). Phone release button is on the left - would have been better and more convenient if it had been on the right as I am right-handed! But sturdy item overall.
