I’ve had occasion to install 12 toilet seats over the last two or three years and this is unquestionably the best one for multiple reasons: 1) Instructions clear and accurate, 2) packaging simple, 3) few parts to deal with, 4) slightly longer than most other toilet seats so it fits a couple of our toilets that had exposed porcelain with their previous seats, 5) amazingly easy to adjust; the day after installation I discovered that the seat was not staying up. It took me about 4 minutes to adjust, 6) low cost, 7) comfortable to sit on, 8) cosmetically attractive, 9) critical parts are stainless steel, 10) excellent ‘slow-close’ function, 11) excellent fit and finish overall. It’s really a brilliant design.

Most toilet seats in my home are now old enough to smoke and one by one they have been failing. This is my go-to replacement for all of them. The seat installs in less time than it takes to remove and properly clean the mounting area. It’s simply great how easily it can be adjusted to perfection before tightening it down. I love the simple hardware, sturdy stainless steel bolt.The lid is habit-forming, however. Once you get used to a toilet seat that doesn’t slam, it’s easy to forget and slam one elsewhere. Oh well! If only all toilet-related tasks were this easy to remedy.

This is the second one of these I’ve bought, and for good reason. I got the first one two years ago, It’s held up and still works perfectly. They’re a breeze to install, very solid, and amazingly easy to remove for cleaning. Being able to push the lid/seat closed without damaging the slow-closing mechanism is a real plus. It has gotten a lot pricier in the past couple of years, but is still well worth it.

My expectations were high when I ordered this seat. I'm not disappointed, but I'm not thrilled either. The installation is fairly simple, but aligning the rods into our existing bolt holes was a bit tricky. It requires perfect alignment to make the easy-on, easy-off feature work smoothly.I didn't anticipate all the contours and indentations on the underside of the seat, so navigating in and around the contours and the four bumpers when cleaning also takes more attention than what wiping down the level surface of the wood seat we previously had involved. Finally, the roller mechanism that connects the seat to the bowl contains seams for a nightlight that we have not bothered to activate. For a seat that claims to be easy to clean, these seams are a hiding place for bacteria.Overall, the seat is sturdy, the slow-close features operates flawlessly, the seat has a nice appearance, and it fits well.
